We have stopped here for one night, needed a place quickly before continuing on our trip. Well... I mean it's not fancy and that's okay, but asking 72 euros for this room is a JOKE. It has the vibes of a post soviet country summer camp for youth in the early 2000s. And thats okay, I wouldn't mind the run-down atmosphere IF it wasn't so expensive. The staff is very friendly and nice tho. But the room is a joke and that's the nicest way to put it.

We stayed here passing through Passau. It was an okey hotell. Clean and nice bathroom. The breakfast was good. They had everything you need. The decoration was a bit unmodern but most important for me is that it is clean. With nicer carpets it would feel nicer.

Our football tour party stopped off in Passau on our way to Budapest and stayed overnight at this basic hotel. My son and I shared a small, corner room on the 1st floor. We had to squeeze into a double bed - but at least there were two single duvets. There was a flat screen TV which we didn't use. I appreciated there being a medium sized bottle of mineral water, a kettle and a few sachets of tea and coffee. The bathroom was small but functional - it's a pity that they don't check and refill the soap dispensers. The curtains didn't quite fit around the windows and let in quite a bit of light from the street lamps outside. Breakfast was basic. Nowadays with COVID regulations as they are, the buffet system can be a bit labourious - notably the wearing of disposable plastic gloves when picking up items to eat. The location is out of town but there is a bus stop just outside the hotel on the main road. With a half a dozen stops you can be in the town centre. Sufficiently adequate for a quick stopover.

Hotel business is about several things: place and price and the "product". In the case of IBB Passau Sued the most important asset are the staff members: polite and friendly in a way that you want to return only for this feeling of relaxed welcomeness they give you. And here still some additional good reasons to choose this hotel: all the years i am travelling, i have slept in many hotels with more stars that promised an unforgettable sleep experience that was indeed unforgettable due to lots of reasons. At IBB Passau Sued we all really enjoyed our sleep. And same again: the quality of the mattresses was unbeatable with many 5-star hotels. All in all, this hotel is all worth to stay at! Congratulations!!!

Late arrival, but gentleman at the front desk was very pleasant. Clean room and bathroom. My room was not so spacious, but fair enough. Great buffet breakfast. Free parking next to the hotel. Great hotel for short stay. No bad remarks to the hotel. Although, if it matters, I haven't noticed that they are some restaurants or bars nearby, in the neighborhood (maybe I'm wrong)L

We stayed in a family room, easily accommodating 3 adults. It was very swish. Check in was straight forward. Staff were attentive and polite. Breakfast was perfect for our needs. If we ever go back to Passau, that's where we'll stay.

This hotel was booked for us the start point of our cycling tour from Passau to Vienna. The hotel is around 10 minutes by taxi from the train station and so we took a tax, Cost 10 Euros. The hotel is on the main road which makes it easy to get to and the noise was not a problem. We had to leave a window open and more on this later. as Passau is not Frankfurt! In the evening we walked into town which was around 30 minutes and an easy downhill walk. We took a taxi back. Check-in was a little chaotic as there seemed to be a problem with their computer system. They did have our reservation (there was a printed version from the cycling tour company with a welcome pack) and so to avoid delay they handed us the key and told us to check back later in the day. The hotel rooms were tired and rather reminded me of something that you would find in a Novotel of the 1980s. There was no air conditioning and with the temperature at 35 degrees meant we had to keep the window open as noted above. The room did contain a fan which was a lifesaver. Bed comfort and room cleanliness were good and sleep quality, despite the heat, was okay. The bathroom was clean and shower only with good pressure so all good there. The breakfast area was very much a throwback to when we were listing to 80s pop hits from Wham and Madonna and we shared it with an over 70s coach trip from the Netherlands. Breakfast was buffet style and was better than I was expecting. For those of you who are staying there as part of a biking tour, there is apparently an underground bike area but we were not told of this (I think everyone was pre-occupied with the IT issues they had) and so left them locked up outside. They were there in the morning and so no harm done. If I had a choice, I would not stay here again but as part of a package...well okay if I must.

After spending a week on board a tiny ship cabin we really appreciated the size of this large deluxe room located on the ground floor at the rear of the building. The bathroom (with a bath - a rarity in Europe- was bigger than our entire cabin). The staff are super helpful and there are restaurants and a supermarket nearby. On the downside it is a fair distance from the main town centre with its pedestrian malls and tourist attractions. A taxi to town was about 9 euros. Try and get either room 103, 104 or 105 if you can. There is direct outdoor access from your room for a glass of wine in the evening amongst the birdsong.

We started our cycling trip here. The hotel is not close to downtown so we cabbed from the train station €10 or so. You can walk to the main bus hub in about 30 minutes - all downhill. To get to the heart of downtown it is still a walk from that bus hub. The hotel provides excellent instruction sheets on the bus which stops outside the hotel. We had no problem using it to get back from downtown. I loved being able to buy a beer at the front desk and we sat outside in the tables they have set up there in the evening before bed. Although you are close to a busy road it is hidden by a big hedge so was quite nice. The hotel room itself was mediocre but fine. No air conditioning in our room but a good fan and windows that opened. The beds were on the softer side but comfy and we slept well. Rooms are a good size as was the bathroom. Breakfast room was very warm but you can sit outside. The actual breakfast was ok neither super or horrible. I think we were late to get down and it was very busy so we did miss a few items that they seemed to be out of. We kept our bikes in the underground parking. It is a very average hotel but entirely adequate with quite good service. Great view out our window. I would stay here again no problem and save a bit of money by not being downtown. Passau is a gorgeous town!!

Thanks for your review. Of course we will check the toilet flush, the shower-curtain and the remote. Regarding the minibar - we don't promote our hotel having rooms with a minibar - so this can't be expected - I am sorry. Regarding the view - we have quite rooms to the inner yard (which you had) and rooms located to the street. So we wanted to do something good for you. Regarding the price we are sure that we have one of the best pricepromotions in the whole city. Kind regards Manuel Günter Hotel Manager
