First: This a listed as a "vacation apartment" not a hotel. So I am completely fine with no reception. I actually liked the "key box". We were late getting there so this was nicer than other places where you have to meet up with the owner to get the key. Second: Wifi was very weak. Unsure if it was the... More

Spent 6 days at Haus Elise and had a wonderful time. The apartment had all the necessary items in it except for one thing which I will get to at the end. The location is a short walk to town, part of it along the river bank, but is far enough outside of town that the crowds (and Fussen is... More

This residence is located in a nice and quaint area accessible only through a tight access road, they have no reception, which probably enables them to cut down on costs and therefore offer affordable prices, but it can be a problem and it indeed turned out to be. When checking in the room keys are handed over by an automatic... More

My partner and I stayed in this ideal setting during our visit to Fussen and the nearby castles. Although the manager working didn't speak English we were still able to comunicate via phone with the other manager who was able to interpret for us. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable, and we received very clear instructions... More

No-reception Hotel. No problems with that. But when we woke up in the first morning someone knocked at the door, and without asking any permission, entered the room while we were both still putting our clothes. Although this person came to charge the stay it was immediately clear for us that this behaviour was because of some pointless suspicion of... More

Pros: Perfect location for visiting the castles (they're just 10 min away by car), clean, cozy, beautiful views. Free parking. Big bedroom with complete kitchen. Cons: They don't have a reception - they leave your key in a keybox. That wouldn't be a problem unless, like us, had to contact with them. We needed a late check-out and nobody answered... More

We were looking for a cabin near to the mountains, but easily reached via public transport from the UK. Fussen is at the end of a 2 hour train journey from Munich, which itself is a direct train from Paris. Then the cabin is just 20 minutes walk from Fussen Bahnhof. Once there, not having a car made little difference.... More
