Historic hotel located across the square from the cathedral in the old town (bells!). Large room with four-poster bed and painted wooden furniture. Large bathroom. Good breakfast in an attractive dining room with lots of historic items. English speaking, very friendly and helpful staff. Free parking at the rear of the hotel. Highly recommended.

My family has stayed here on two separate occasions, and we loved it both times. The breakfast is generous, and the hotel is beyond charming. The staff speaks English, though it is a bit rough, and they are very accommodating and willing to help (they even contacted another guest and asked them to move up one floor so that my...

We stumbled across this place coming into town late last night. It is in the centre of town next to St Georges church. There is ample private parking out the back for those driving. The hotel is historic and decoration in theme. Our room for a lovely big room with a four-post bed. The bathroom was big and the shower...

Very nice historic hotel in the center of town. The room was a little worn, but comfortable. I found this place in the Lonely Planet guidebook, called them same evening and got a room. Car park was in the rear, access was a little sticky as car access to the city center was blocked. I eventually got in. The hotel...

We found this guesthouse when we arrived and it was very central and clean. Breakfast was wholesome with lots of fresh breads, cheeses and meats, as well as fruits etc. Only drawback was there is no elevator, so if you book a 2nd or 3rd floor room, be prepared to climb the stairs with bags. The host was also helpful...

Really nice, characteristic hotel - town centre location - staff very helpful and the young chap spoke English too. Room was big and modern and had a great nights sleep - breakfast was ample with a huge collection of cheeses, crusty rolls, hams, cereal, yogurts etc... Very nice dining room which looks very German with its wooden seats and wacky...

We stayed one night at this old hotel and did not sleep very well. The accommodation is OK, with big rooms, but the location next to the old Town Hall is not so good. The bell there strike every 15 minutes. I thought it would be turned off at midnight, like in most cities, but it went on the whole...

Uneven staircases, bookshelves with old books, creaking pine floors... a motto painted on the wall outside says "The emperor was a guest here, and here the guest is a king." You come to Nördlingen for the history and atmosphere, and at Hotel Sonne that's what you get, right in the center of town. Ample sized rooms with comfortable creaky beds...

As commented on by others, this is a very old building right in the heart of Nordlingen. Walking the corridors are an adventure in themselves as the building has settled over the past 600 years. The main stairs are a wonder, sloping and uneven and we laughed everytime we made it to the top.As far as location as access goes,...

The hotel was built on 1405. We took the Kaisersuite on the 1st floor [no elevator] which was a dream. You may see it in the photos. It was very big with a hall and a big bathroom.Very well equipped, without ruining its 600 years... scent.Very clean. All furnitures were replicas of good taste and comfortable. The big surprise was the...
