We stayed there one night on a way from Frankfurt to Munich. There are just a few small rooms in this hotel, but it's very charming, clean and comfortable. The view is nice and it is 4-5 min pleasant walk to the town square. Breakfast was included in our stay, and was a good selection of breads/pastries, fruits and vegetables,...

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour. We weren't sure what to expect so we were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is clean and nicely decorated. As others have mentioned there is no elevator so if you have one of those huge roller bags you may want to ask for a lower floor (remember, 1st floor in Germany...

Beautiful building and beautiful rooms. Every path of Rothenburg is stunning so there is no such thing as a bad location. The breakfast was lovely and being welcomed with a little bag of haribo gummi bears was a nice touch. Pro tip : the dog loves belly rubs!

We were upgraded to junior suites. The room was cute and comfortable. Breakfast was pretty good - though I've had better in other hotels. The location was perfect for getting around the city. The staff was very friendly. I'd recommend this hotel but they had no lift and I'm not sure if they have any rooms on the first floor....

Although this hotel is very old it is very quaint and had a lot of character ! The location is great ! In walking distance of shops and restaurants and the beautiful old church. Charming little town. The staff were very friendly and the dinner we had in the hotel restaurant was very good as was the breakfast ! If...

We also stayed here as part of a tour. The owner was friendly and helpful. Would rather give my business to someone like her who cares about her customers than any 5 star hotel. While there was no lift, I did not find it to be a problem. The breakfast was more than adequate. I felt it was very tasty!...

This hotel was selected for us by Viator as part of a 3 day romantic road tour. The owners were very pleasant and helpful BUT there was no lift and we had to haul suitcases up narrow stairs. Room was the usual small European style, clean and with good fittings. However, my ongoing gripe about no tea/coffee making facilities in...

My boyfriend and I stayed here on a trip we booked through Viator. It was a lovely surprise to arrive at this hotel in the medieval town. It was quite modern and our room on the top floor was updated, bright, and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful! Like at most German hotels, it was buffet style with different cold cuts,...

We stayed here in May and found it a fine place. It was not our intended hotel, but turned out quite well. The owner was pleasant enough and the dog was a nice thing to pet. The breakfast was adequate, nothing special, but fine for a light start to the day. The room was fine and the location was great.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable. The staff where very friendly. Breakfast was very good! We enjoyed the walks from this hotel & found the walking distances not too far for local sites. We'll stay here again when we come back to Rothenberg! Say "hello" to Diamond if you stop by!

“If you must stay don't get the rooms in the backyard, and book direct, When reception was asked they inferred that other bookings (like ours) are given low priority or bookings canceled if a better booking comes in. It did not matter that it was booked 2 months prior. There is much better value uptown.”
