The location of this hotel is ideal, a few minutes walk from the centre. It's located in the pedestrian zone so you have to leave your car in the large car park outside the city walls but this isn't a problem because you can drive to the hotel, unload the luggage then drive to the parking which is only about... The hotel is located very conveniently within the old town of Rothenburg ob der Tauber city walls. Everything is easily within walking distance. Employees were very friendly and helpful. Parking is in a garage a few blocks away, but one of the staff rides with you to the garage to let you in and walks back with you. We had... More

Read many of the reviews here and thought this was well worth our visit. We live in Luxembourg and wanted a quick weekend trip into Bavaria and heard Rothenburg odT was a fasintating little place. Hotel Tilman Riemenschneider is a really nice little hotel - I'd prefer to give it 3.5 stars because I think it distinguishes itself from other... More

Without a doubt, this is the finest small hotel at which I have ever stayed. The staff couldn't do enough to be of help....English spoken by all. The room large and clean, which included a breakfast with bacon and eggs....good place for dinner too. Located just around the corner from the central town platz, it is well situated for touring... We stayed in Rothenburg at this lovely hotel in the center of the old town with a typical half-timbered facade for 2 nights. Inside bavarian style with a lot of paintings and woodcarvings. Our twin room was spacious with handpainted beds and wardrobe and a perfect bright and clean bathroom. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious (we had a regional... More

My wife and I and another couple had flown all night and then driven from Flughafen Frankfurt down the Romantic Road through Würzburg and into Rothenburg ob der Tauber in early evening. We had no reservations but the desk was very friendly and they had two rooms available. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast was excellent and the location inside the walls... More

Upon the arrival, our room was already heated! The welcome - and the room - were warm and ouside it was freezing. Check-in was easy and quick, the room itself with beautiful handpainted furniture,a clean and modern bathroom and a bottle of mineral water to welcome us. We had a pleasant dinner with excellent service and wonderful food. We stayed... More

I'm a travel agent, so I picked my hotels very carefully. This hotel I wanted to check for a Senior Citizens Tour we are planning for 2009 - it's not only great for individual tourists (like us on this trip), but also great for groups! Charming rooms (they differ in size, but it's ok), luxury bathrooms, clean and bright. Food... More

Found this hotel by chance in the internet - we were not disappointed. We had a great room with Bavarian furniture and a very new, modern and clean bathroom. Dinner was also typical - with tasty food and huge portions and good wine (try the wine from the Tauber valley which grows in the area!). We especially liked the staff... More
