This is one of them oat coziest places I have stayed. We loved it. On a quiet street that is located very close to the Town Square. Went down to the restaurant and drank wine during a rain storm which was wonderful. Very dark and candlelit. Spent the evening sipping wine and talking with fellow travelers. Highly recommended! :)

the hotel is very nice, cosy and clean, they also serve very good breakfast and the staff are very helpful, there is a public parking just 1 minute away from the hotel which it makes a big difference if you are travelling with a car and got luggages

Beautiful old house/hotel. Room was very unique. Close to everything, shopping and the main plaza. If you are use to some Germans being like typical New York hotel personnel and then no issue here. If you are expecting a warm and friendly conversation with the owners that is not going to happen. Nice place for a one night experience but... More

The Altfraenkische Weintsube is well situated near St Jakob's church and the Market Place. It is about 5 minutes walk from the city walls. The hotel has a very individual and old fashioned feel. It is clean and welcoming. The restaurant was packed the night we were there - always a good sign - and the food substantial and typically... More

A lovely accomodation just like Rothenburg itself. I like the vintage style and feel relax in the room. Good place just next to the kirche. Actually the staff looks not so kind as the comments but just OK. You will be shared the necessary info and help of luggage to upstairs from them. Strongly recommend here for Rothenburg trip.

First I must say this is a quaint 600 year old building and the rooms are very clean and updated. That being said, I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel. The staff is very rude and unfriendly. I seemed to be a big effort to get the owner to show me how to get heat in the room. The welcome at... More

Absolutely charming 600 yr old building where you will find a comfortable room with open-beam ceilings, four-poster canopy bed, and beautifully decorated! Lots of character without sacrificing the comforts today's tourist expects. The breakfast buffet table provided a generous spread of typical German fare and guests take their meal in a candlelit breakfast room. We enjoyed our stay immensely and... More

This nicely kept hotel has its charm of mixing the old and new. Rooms are decorated in good style and kept very clean. The ground floor serves as the entrance to the hotel and its attached restaurant. Food is good and at reasonable price. But breakfast is disappointing. The innkeeper's attitude is also an issue. I did not see him... More

Quaint ,cozy atmosphere, perfect lodgings. Greeted on arrival by the owner who was very pleasant, showed us our rooms and offered maps of the town. This is a small gasthaus, stairs only to your rooms . We stayed in a lovely studio room which was very spacious and comfortable our friends had a smaller room which was full of beautiful furnishings. Typical... More

Very cozy hotel in historical building. Located at quiet end of town but near attractions. Clean, and comfortable. Narrow winding stair was not a problem for us. Glad that street parking pass was provided (for small fee).
