Stayed here for about ten days back in March and had a lovely experience. The hotel is quiet and secluded, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are moderate in size and the bathrooms are large by American standards. The hotel breakfast is very extensive and absolutely delicious. It is definitely not to be missed! The location...

We stayed here for three nights and found the staff very welcoming, friendly and efficient, the room was lovely, clean, great shower and very comfortable. The hotel is located directly across from a U line station and very near a tram stop which was very handy and, although the hotel is near a main road, because the rooms are in...

I often come back here. The hotel is situated in a courtyard and is therefore very quiet even if there is quite som noise from traffic in the neighborhood. Service is friendly, prices are ok and the U-bahn (U2) is just outside your door. There are also trams in many directions. Rooms are comfortable.

I have very mixed feelings about this hotel. I stayed in two rooms, the first a cheap Sunday-Monday special, actually a pretty good room for the price. The other 4 nights I should have stayed in a "superior" room but they put me in a room with a connecting door, and I had to pay extra to get rid of...

Stayed here for a couple of nights to attend a rock concert at the max schmeling halle. Hotel is very convenient for the underground station. Meet and greet was great. Staff helpful then and later in our trip. Room was clean, tidy and warm. Security seemed pretty good. No noise from neighbours. No smell of smoke (I am not a...

I enjoyed staying in this place. The (multilingual) staff is friendly, my room was very comfortable and quiet and the location is great if you want to stay in the Prenzlauer Berg area. I didn't have breakfast there to be able to judge, but you have plenty of nice options at walking distance. Excellent wifi.

This hotel is situated right across Eberswalder Strasse station from where one can take the U-bahn. It's in an area with lots of restaurants and shops. It's a short walk from the S-bahn,Prenzlauer Berg, in case you have to catch a flight from Schonefeld airport. The hotel's reception entrance is right on the street but the rooms are accessible through...

The hotel is situated in a neighbourhood with lots of nice cafés and restaurants, and right next to both a subway and several tram stops. All the rooms are facing a back yard, so the rooms are nice and quiet. We had a standard double room, but it was still spacious with a kitchenette, a sitting area and a balcony....

A hotel situated a bit back from the steet, just across the u-bahn and 5 minutes away from restaurants and cosy cafees. I booked a single room with a balcony -it was a good choise. Big, clean and really nice. It feels like you walk into a friends house...

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
