Ideally situated near Wittenbergplatz underground station and the Ka Da We store I stayed here for almost a week. Very friendly and helpful staff, my room was spacious and extremely clean. The breakfast was terrific with a wide choice of delicious food. I will definitely stay here again when next in Berlin.

We’ve stayed here a few times and it is a reliable, comfortable and well located property next to Wittenberg U2 station. The room was clean, well equipped and comfortable. Great bathroom with large bath and shower and complimentary toiletries. Tea and coffee and kettle in the room was a nice touch.

Great location with easy access to transport links. The hotel was spotlessly clean as where the room and the bathroom. The room was well appointed and very quiet. The hotel staff were pleasant and friendly. We enjoyed the breakfast finding plenty of choice. Overall a great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel

Very good location, across the road from U Bahn, and Ka De We. Hotel comfortable, though when asking for twin room would prefer if beds are separated. No English Tele other than news channels, really annoying, as would like to watch a film in the evening after busy day in Berlin. Even a pay to view would be ok.

Dear Hampshire, thank you very much for staying in our hotel. Our hotel has rooms with queen size beds and also with twin beds. If you prefer the latter, we recommend booking this category in the future. Our Smart TV devices can also be easily connected to your cell phone or similar. Maybe in the future this will be a solution to watch movies in the desired language. We look forward to have you with us soon again. Greetings from Berlin. H. Berg -Hotelmanager-

To be honest this is a really fancy hotel with nice and elegant rooms, tasty interior and really central BUT I expect more from a 4star hotel. They do not offer their guest free of charge parking or an airport shuttle. Guest have to park around the block in a parking house that charges 24 eur per day or you can try to find a legitimate parking spot in the neighborhood. If you come with flight you can take a taxi (40-80 eur) or take bus or tram but you have to be good informed how and which one to take. To be a such highly rated hotel I also expected much more service from the staff and definitely more friendliness! Let me say that the Berlin people are “special” but for my personal taste they should be less arrogant and teaching and from up above! I want to be welcomed with a wide smile and whatever question I asked I want to see that warm smile no matter how stupid my question is in there eyes. Breakfast was really good but very expensive with 21 eur per person. You don’t really eat for that amount. The hotel is lying directly beside the big KADEWE (Kaufhaus des Westens) and a big shopping street. Many restaurants around the corner so you don’t need to leave the area (but of course you should ) Although there is a lot of noise 24/7 the rooms were perfectly isolated so you could sleep save and sound and you could make the rooms totally dark. So good hotel but they have to work on the service

Dear carolins359, it was our pleasure to be your hosts in Berlin. Thank you also for your feedback here. We are happy to respond to it. We are sorry if you did not receive the kindness we are known for and we apologize for that. Unfortunately, we are not able to match your comment to a booking, so we do not know the date of your stay and cannot go into detail. The information that we do not have our own parking spaces can be found transparently on each booking page. Ideas and suggestions where to park can be obtained 24/7 from our team. We do not know of any hotel in the city center that offers free parking, as you would expect. This also applies to airport transfers. This is usually offered by hotels near the airport with little to no infrastructure in the area. If you expect this from a 4 star city hotel, you will probably be disappointed. Nevertheless, we are happy to be your hosts again in the future when a trip takes you to Berlin. You are invited to try our small and cheap croissant breakfast if the large buffet is too much for you. Kind regards from Berlin. H. Berg Hotelmanager

Excellent hotel, yet laid back atmosphere. Beautiful decor. Very attentive receptionists, - special thanks to the lady who helped us with instructions to the airport due to timetable changes because of maintenance. The room was very nice, comfortable and clean. The soap had a wonderful smell. Breakfast was very rich and varied: juice machine, yogurts, fruits, baked goods, cheeses, smoked fish, cold cuts, several types of bread, a big variety of tea brews, coffee etc We were really sorry we had to leave and hope to return again. Other practicalities: close to shopping venues, restaurants and public transportation.

We really expected more from the hotel, especially considering the price. We know that it's worth emphasize that location was very good, next to the metro station and close to the bus stop. The cleaning service was really good and breakfast was excellent, and also the breakfast service team was great and kind. We checked in, on the evening of the 25th of October 2022, and we were warmly welcomed by the attendant Ammar who promptly helped us resolve an initial problem with our Wise bank card. But on 28th, around 8pm, we had the misfortune of being attended by the receptionist, called Steffen, who from the first contact treated us extremely rudely, with no patience, unwilling to help and insisting on speaking in German, a language we do not understand and he was aware of it, fact that we consider unacceptable for the service of an international hotel as Mercure hotel. Despite the other receptionists being attentive and dedicated, our evaluation score is really low due to the very unpleasant service of this employee (Steffen). This caused us great annoyance. We didn't expect this to happened on our vacation, making our entire stay in Berlin unpleasant.
