The first two days of our trip we stayed at the Amano Hotel but because we wanted too stay longer (and the Amano Hotel was fully booked) we went to Case Camper. A night in the Amano Hotel (2 persons) costed 102 euro and 265 in Casa Camper. A enormous difference in price while the difference in quality was small....

Large comfortable room and good bathrooms/shower. V clean, wooden floors get mopped daily, and the only negative point is entire room is painted red which makes the room dark. Good location, uban stop is by the hotel. Excellent customer service, and the best part is the roof top restaurant has great breakfast and is open for hotel guest 24/7 for...

We loved the location of Casa Camper. It has a U station just outside the front door and an S station only two minutes away. The staff at reception were particularly helpful in providing us with information on restaurants that might suit our interests. If you are interested in food, make sure you go to Dos Pallilos, the restaurant that...

Great location. While the U bahn station is downstairs, the Haekscher Mart S bahn is more useful to get places fast and it's only 2 very nice blocks away. Nice room, thoughtfully furnished with humour and a sense of what guests need (don't come here if you're a slave to tradition or need striped or flowery wallpaper. Six-star all-day free...

This is a brilliant hotel! Comfortable bed, great bathroom & shower! The 7th floor amenities are wonderful. Really couldn't find anything wrong with this hotel. The U-bahn stop is right by the door, so the cold Berlin winter is avoided. Shopping in the area is also great!!

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
