Arrived at hotel and checked in to my booked double room with city view to find I was in a twin room with no view. Holes in the wall and hairs on the bed. Beds uncomfortable and pillows useless. Hotel full of drunks and strange people. Couldn't wait to get out off this place. £200 for three nights was a...

We stayed here on Monday for 1 night stay at before going home as we were over for the Rangers game in Leipzig. The hotel is right beside the train station, but it's not really a hotel - it's a hostel. The check in was easy and polite but when we returned at night the bar staff were rude -...

Stayed for the weekend and initially thought that the hostel/hotel was OK, the terrible attitude of some of the bar/reception staff ruined our visit though. I personally witnessed people being refused to take a carrier bag with a couple of bottles of beer in it to their room, one lad was aggressively challenged because the receptionist thought he was drinking...

I thought it was a hostel. Visited Meininger with a friend, well I expected something more, but it's an ok place to stay. the best thing here is that it is close to the main station of Berlin. P.S. Wake up at 7 in the morning to get a chance for breakfast :)

There are a lot of younger people at this hotel, which makes it feel like more of a hostel. Unfortunately, our last night was sleepless as there were a lot of football fans who had arrived for a game over the weekend. There were people running up and down the hallways and shouting and screaming all night. When we got...

The rooms are very clean and the hotel also has a good breakfast and bar availble The wifi is very good and the price is very...

The hotel is very near to the main train station and just few minutes walking from Reichstag and from Brandenburger Tor. Staff is considerate and helpful. Rooms are clean. A small kitchen is available.

We got a good price for three nights, for five people ( two rooms). The hotel is good and clean, it has small rooms, but fine for a city trip. Beds were good, the pillows need replacing however. Yes, there were a lot of young people staying, but that may have to do with the fact that it was Christmas break;...

the hotel is really nice: there's always someone hanging out at the bar, or in the hall, which gives you a cozy feeling. The receptionists are helpful and nice. The position of the hotel was awesome: near the station, the parliament, the center.. Our bedroom was really small, with two castle-beds (we were four people). The bathroom was small as...

I stayed here for 4 nights and on the last night the staff came in and tried to kick us out because in his system it said 2 beds were free.. I said that's not my problem and showed him the email and receipt. He then spoke to me very rudely and made me go downstairs with him and bring...

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
Moabit
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
