Stayed for two nights in a studio apartment. Surprisingly spacious and nicely decorated. It's also within walking distance of central Berlin and a lot of top tourist destinations. Museum Island is only 10 minutes away for example. Staff were very friendly and helpful too. Only slight issues were that kitchen could be better equipped (no microwave and only one sharp...

We stayed in this apartment twice in our visit to Berlin; before our hamburg visit and agaon after. I decided to review my visit separately as there are tooany down sides to mention. We booked a room for 4 people for two nights. To start with they were very rude in welcoming, checkin us in and helping us out. We...

We stayed in the apartments in May, for 3 nights. And really liked it there. There is no traditional reception, the administrator of the apartment house is the girl working at the cafe downstairs, so she just gave us the key from the apartment and then helped us with all the necessary things: extra-towels, pillow-case and other stuff - I...

A clean, bright, airy single room appartment with sitting area, kitchen and two double beds. This was the perfect starting point for our explorations. A hipster cafe on the ground floor and bike rental next door. 100m to train or bus. 10 minute walk to Aleksanderplatz. Would go back...

We were here for a weekend trip and found the flat in karlito. The location is very central and in the heart of mittle with nice cafes, restaurants and shops. Alexanderplatz can be reached easily by walking.

Fantastic property! Had an entire studio apartment, which is super spacious by most European standards, and was a welcome change for me during my travels. Staff were lovely - very welcoming at check in, and I requested a fan shortly after arriving and it was delivered right away. Breakfast was DELICIOUS, filling, and well worth the add (10 euro/day). Included...

I stayed at the Karlito Apartments with my husband and 1 year old son. It was wonderful to have the convenience of an apartment while traveling. Karlito apartments are centrally located and there are several grocery stores nearby. Our room was spacious which was great for traveling with a small child. The kitchen was stocked with cooking tools which was...

Huge room accommodates kitchen, table and 2 double beds. No soap, shampoo, etc. but cookware, utensils, and serving ware with dishwasher detergent. Pick up key from cafe next door. Location makes it ideal as starting point for multi day stay. We only stayed one night. Clean, somewhat noisy from building rather than street noise.

We spent 5 nights in a "satellite" unit a few blocks from the main building. Huge bedroom and bathroom, generous kitchen with all dishes, utinsels etc. you'd need, all for only 90 euros a night. Includes a large bathtub, a big deal for my wife and not easy to find in Berlin. On the street side of the building but...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
