This is NOT a luxury apartment. We were really unhappy with this choice for a number of reasons: 1) no AC 2) very unprofessional, and hard to communicate with; no reception, they don't answer your phone calls or email on a regular basis, hard to get in touch with 3) lots of construction and noise from the street 4) hard...

We caught an early flight to give us the full day in Berlin and arrived to the apartment at approx 11:30am and were met there by a lovely lady who should us around the apartment and gave us some great tips on getting...

This apartment should be stayed away from until they complete the refurbishing.the apartment is in a great location "but" the apartment is not livable,it's a switch and baiting system right now they take your money and when you come and see the disaster they tell you you can leave but no refund. So in essence they have €1200. For you and...

The builting is under construction and the corridor is horrible. The rooms are big but everything inside is the chespest Ikea there is. They don't accept credit card unless they can charge you 5% extra. The service is really rude but that's normal for the Russians. The internet is really really bad. I would recommend to stay in an other...

There was also ALOT of hairs on towels and bedding. The shower curtain should be replaced as it was really dirty. The rooms them self are okay...

Seeing some of the negative reviews of these apartments has surprised me, as I thought it was a great place to stay. The outside does look pretty run down, but it is in former East Germany, so that is to be expected. The Apartment itself was great, a big room with a huge double bed and a single we used...

There was also some maintenance work going on. Inside the building it is in much need of a refurb, and again stinks and full of graffiti!! The lift also was disgusting and...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

“We were on the 8th floor. Not spectacular views - but 4 floor to ceiling windows overlooking what seemed to be a business areas. This is a very bright and airy apartment, and to be honest - if you're just staying 3 or 4 days, as we were, there is so much to do and see, a room with a view wasn't high on our agenda ... the location was, and it was toasty warm, and would definitely book again.”
