The hostel is a five minute walk - 10 minutes with a rucksack - from the main train station in Berlin. Signs directing you to the hostel begin in the train station making it extremely easy to find. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I stayed in a two bed private room which was very spacious and clean. Towels were...

Located just 5 minutes walk from the Hauptbahnhof this is an excellent backpacker to mid range option. Rooms are well appointed and staff are helpful. A good option for school groups and there were a few groups when I stayed. They were a little noisy but nothing really to worry about. Just kids having fun. Berlin is an amazing city...

Really liked the place. Very near to the central station ( biggest bonus point for this) Staff was helpful and very friendly. Neat and clean rooms. Bathroom was inside the room only. Overall excellent service. Baggage room available Locker available I highly recommend to stay here.

As we stay during summer peak (early August), it was very hot. Felt like inside an oven when you stays in the room between 9 - 20, even with the windows open. No AC, not even a fan. Although the room was very clean and equipped with new, functional furniture, it was small and has little mobility area. Apparently, the...

After arriving after a 12 hours of travelling we were met by a pig of a man who promptly told us we weren't allowed to use debit cards to pay for our room. This was however, rubbish, as a sign on the reception desk stated that cards were accepted but a charge would be incurred. We therefore had to walk...

We are a couple that travel a lot all over the world. But never did we encounter anything as bad as this one. There is absolutly no service at all. I ended up taking my rubbish and dirty towels to reception and picked up clean towels from there as well. When I asked for another pillow at reception they gave...

Excellent location, only a few minutes walk from the central train station of Berlin and is within walking distance of iconic attractions such as the Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate. I stayed in a twin private en suite, which was very clean, with soap provided in the shower and sink. The downside was there didn't seem to be any organised events...

We've stayed at a&o for the past four nights. The day we got there, we asked if we could extend the stay for one more night. The receptionists were decently polite , but often short with us while trying to work this out. It wasn't so bad because we just thought it was a language barrier issue. The people at...

I visited this hotel a couple years ago. I was stayed in this hotel for awhile before I got apartment in Berlin. Because, at that time I think this hotel is one of the nearest hotel that located not too far from Hauptbahnhof. Basically, the hotel room is quite clean and the price is very affordable for backpackers. The receptionist...

The hostel wasn't too far from the main attractions such as the reichstag, it was also very close to the main train station. We stayed in a 8person room which was a bit cramped but bearable. The curtains did nothing to stop the light coming in so it was pretty bright in the morning. The room had a few bunks...

Staying in Moabit

Neighbourhood Profile
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.
