Stayed here with a group and it was perfect in every way. The hotel was new, spotlessly clean and comfortable. I have paid a lot more for far less at breakfast. In fact the breakfast was really a highlight, with lots of choice and delicious fresh bread every morning. The area is quiet, except for Sundays when there is a...

We had a brilliant time at this cheap and friendly hotel. The room was perfect for three friends sharing, with three single beds and good sized bathroom. The room was clean and well maintained. The staff were friendly and made us feel really welcome. The breakfast was basic but everything was good quality, the fresh bread and fruit set us...

Me and my boyfried stayed here in october 2016 with some friends. We were pleased to find out that the rooms were quite clean and newly renovated. The room was very cold and it took a lot of time to get some heat and the walls were really thin so we could hear the people in the room next to...

Modern, prime location close to bars and restaurants, new building, friendly staff. Breakfast good value for money and nice cold cuts and bread rolls, selection limited but quality is good. Wifi flawless. Reception gives you ice cubes upon request free of charge. Bike rental possible.

We, my girlfriend and I, went for four days in October 2016, and the location is absolutely wonderful. The hotel itself is nice and simple, but perfect for a couple like us (22 and 25 at the time) - very close to the U-bahn, S-bahn and metro busses, and just on the Berlin Wall - simply amazing. Will go again...

Stayed 3 nights, large group; 27 people. Hotel has an excellent location, near center, shops and lovely cafe's, bus and underground close by. Small but clean rooms. Nice continental breakfast. Travelling in such a big group often has its difficulties, but all in all the hotel was very helpful and all were happy with their stay in Berlin. Small seating...

We were here for three nights, rooms are small but clean, breakfast was very good continental breakfast, good firm beds. The bar/lounge is not very welcoming (next to a reception and small) but it is open 24 hours. Good location, tram (goes straight to S-Bahn (train station) and bus stations are just next to a hotel and U-bahn (metro) is...

There is a 24 hour bar reasonably priced and I found the reception staff very helpful . Location wise it was perfect for getting around there's...

Great location and perfectly suitable for a short stay. The hotel is a no fuss budget hotel, which was clean and comfortable and easy to navigate. Breakfast included in the cost - nothing special but certainly convenient and easy. Unfortunately, in terms of value for money I personally would probably opt for an apartment or pay slightly more for a...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
