I’ve been at the Teikyo hotel for more than a month during the lockdown. Despite the quarantine it has been a very good period. The place is amazing and full of surprise, during my time here I had the opportunity to explore it in depth but I still couldn’t discovered everything. The life of the place move around a big square terrace from which you can enjoy the beautiful and relaxing view of the lake. From there you can get access to the bar and to the dining room, where they serve meals three times a day. There is a boat house and, when the weather is nice, it’s possible to have a boat excursion. Another possibility is to take the bike and ride in the woods all around the area, it’s full of nice traks and it’s even possible to get to Berlin in around one hour. Among the other stuff, there is also a sauna, a fitness room, some ping pong tables, a volleyball field surrounded by the forest and a basketball one. The garden is also huge and full of plants and when I was there the staff was restoring an old greenhouse and planting even more herbs and flowers all around. During my time there, in fact, I also meet most of the people working there which have all been very kind and helpful to me. My room was in the hostel area (there are both hotel and hostel rooms) with the view on the lake. The place was quiet, clean and comfortable and I always had a good sleep. It is perfect for relaxing or to have tours and explore the area around but also to get isolated and work on your stuff while at the same time it is very easy to reach the city in a very short time. Although my staying was not planned I had a wonderful time there and I will come back for sure in the future this time without the external pressure of a global pandemic :)

Booked in March 2018 to travel from UK in May 2018. I exchanged about 5 emails with the "Functions Manager", who confirmed my booking, as it was to be a surprise birthday party being held there for a friend of mine, & I was to be the surprise guest coming out of UK. To get to this hotel from the airport, entailed 2 trains & 2 buses. When I arrived after nearly 2 hours travelling, I was advised that the hotel had no record of my booking, & that the hotel was fully booked because of my friends party, & other functions that weekend. After several minutes of abuse from me, & after showing copies of all the correspondences between myself & the hotel, I was advised that they had "an.emergency room" for such an event. The rest of my 5 days stay in this hotel, although very quiet, with very little to do or see, was pleasant enough, although the hotel is in the middle of nowhere.

We needed a place to overnight close to Schönefeld airport. The rooms were significantly cheaper at this place. The hotel has reminded us of the youth hostel, with bunk beds in the rooms and weird showers :) beddings were clean. Internet worked just fine. We also paid 4.5 EUR extra for breakfast, which was basic bus was a nice thing to have before the early flight. Schonefeld airport is about an easy 15 minutes drive from the hotel, Ikea, Media Markt and McDonalds are about 10 minutes drive. We have enjoyed , and would use it again if we have to travel early from Schonefeld. P.s. Be sure to bring your own towels as they charge extra for that :)

The hotel is a large structure in the middle of a wood near to the lakes, far from every urban facility. The rooms are basic with limited comfort, and the meals are not exciting. The staff does not speak english, and the Hotel works occasionally as an Institute of a japanese University. The only reason to stay in this Hotel is in case of a big meeting organized there. Otherwise one should look for a more personalized choice!
