This is nothing less than a clear recommendation! The Ibis Styles Berlin Mitte is a fine hotel, situated in the heart of the city in an interesting area. Famous Alexanderplatz as well as the 'Hackesche Höfe' can be reached by foot within a couple of minutes, same as the 'Schönhauser Allee' in East Berlin. In the immediate vicinity there are...

We had a great stay in a family room - actually 2 rooms with connecting doors.the rooms are comfortable, small but really nice, very clean. breakfast is great and staff is friendly. Only problem - dining room is too small, so it is crowded at breakfast and sometimes it's hard to find a place to sit. Other than that -...

Location is very good. Walking distance to the sites. Had breakfast at 830 am, started walking at 915 to Berliner Dome, and the other sites like Brandenburg gate, the memorial, the wall, checkpoint Charlie etc had lunch at Berlin Wall, also went to choc place Ritter, we all did in one day. The stay was worthwhile

Great location, friendly staff, very clean. Second time there and I'll definitely be back. Rooms are well designed and laid out. Area is great for public transport and restaurants, and there are some good bars nearby.

Great location, service and accessibility. Located in the artisans quarter surrounded by numerous quaint independent shops and is a hub for public transport just down the road. Access to the U- Bahn, trams and buses, just a 5 minute train ride to Alexaanderplatz. Will happily stay here again!

A hotel in a strategic position not so far from alexanderpla to just 15/20 min walking. The staff was very polite and kind just there for helping and advise the costumers about where eat or what see. Our room was awesome with a particular designe (baltic see was the topic)

This hotel has got a great location, right by a metro station and two tram lines. Plenty of good places to eat nearby as well. We got lucky and were given one of the corner rooms, and have no complaints at all. Reception staff were great, and the breakfasts were really good with plenty of choice to set you up...

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room is comfortable (even though the bathroom doesn't have it's own door), the staff is friendly, it offers good breakfast and is close to metro and lots of restaurants. Everything you need for a short trip to Berlin!

A little noisy from the street, but rooms very comfortable. Free wifi. Shower excellent. Continental breakfast was well done, good choices, plenty of options. Reasonable produce from coffee machine, although orange juice a bit tasteless. Welcoming on booking in. On exiting, they were too busy talking to lady who looked like a manager maybe, ignored me for 2-3mins, showed them...

My husband and I spent 3 nights here and the hotel is in a great spot for exploring the city either using the public transport links in the doorstep or on foot. Breakfast has a nice choice but gets very busy at weekends. Our room was an upgrade and was at the front of the building with great views out...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
