Leipziger Strasse is not the most exiting street, being quite heavily trafficked but the hotel is located just minutes of walking from cafes and sights in Gendarmenmarkt area and 200m from the river Spree. Large reception area and also seating in the back yard, so plenty of room to relax at the premises. Simple but nice rooms; no safe or...

Our return flight was early morning so staff provided us with generous breakfast bags. Breakfast menu was all Bio the other days. That had a german feel to it ! Loved the reception/breakfast area. Location is good. You can walk to ALexander Platz and the lovely Domer.

Great hotel as always. I am never disappointed for staying at a motel one. Nice and comfy beds, clean rooms and bathrooms and they have a breakfast which is quite nice for a city hotel with that price. I like staying at Motel Ones.

This was my first stay in a Motel One Hotel in Germany and it is clearly a well respected and successful chain of hotels. Do not mistake this hotel as a USA-Style motel, it is much better than that. It is in actual fact a good well-placed hotel offering good accommodation and reasonable prices. The rooms are very comfortable and...

Loved my stay at Motel One Spittelmarkt. Nice and extremely clean rooms with comfortable beds and a shower that's better than the one I have a home! Very friendly and helpful staff, both at the reception and the bar. The lounge was an excellent place to unwind after a long day in the city: very cosy and relaxed. Breakfast was...

I stayed at this hotel for 5 nights for a conference. The location is great - very central, close to 2 subway lines (U2 is right there, and U6 is a 10-minute walk away). The staff are friendly and helpful. The lobby is super comfortable and very nice to sit there and read or do work. Outlets all around and...

So, stayed here for two nights during a work meeting. It's a newish hotel (part of a chain) located on a main road, roughly between Alexanderplatz and Checkpoint Charlie. Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. Rooms - for a 'budget' hotel - were comfortable and quiet (in spite of the main road outside). Wi-fi is free and very rapid. The...

I always like staying at Motel One hotels. They are great. Comfortable beds, good wifi, clean rooms and a great breakfast. I even had for dinner one night a couple of their toast sandwiches and they were really great. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend staying here!

Spent 2 nights at Motel One. Situated closed to U2 and in a central place. Had excellent services and beautiful lounge. The rooms are a bit squeezed but adequate. I had requested for an early check in, which I got and was able to relax after 11 hours flight to Berlin. Highly recommend!

Thank Patrick M

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
