The location of Eurostars is brilliant. You are a short walk to the train station and within easy walking distance to a lot of historic places. The hotel itself is very comfortable (although not five star) and the reception staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfasts however aren't great and I've yet to have a decent cup of tea... More

We stayed at this hotel on our first visit to Berlin for 5 days last week. Great location opposite Friedrichsstrasse train station and all the attractions within walking distance although the public transport system is excellent in Berlin. The room was very clean and comfortable with lovely spacious bathroom. There was a good selection of foods at breakfast and my... More

Very conveniently located hotel with great views, a few minutes walk from Friedrichsstrasse station. Direct train from Schonefeld airport only 3.30 Euros a person. Room was modern with a good view. Pool & sauna very nice. There was a lot of choice at breakfast, which was all beautifully presented. Great base to visit all of the sights. Would definitely recommend.

Highlights: great location and breakfast. The Eurostars hotel is next to the Berlin train station, so its very easily accessible via public transport and thus the rest of the city is easy to get around. The Berlin wall memorial and Brandeburg gate are within an easy walking (we are talking about 1-2 kilometres) distance as is the some great shopping.... More

Everything, including the pricing, seems perfect. The location is also great. On my way to Berlin, I always check the availability of this hotel first. Note also that they offer sekt for breakfast on Saturdays and Sundays.

We spent a week in the hotel. The hotel was fully booked, but the service was very good. We did not feel it was full, except sometime in the breakfast. The room was very comfort and big enough for 3 adults for a week. The only thing we did not like was the concierge. It was a lady, not professional.... More

Really nice hotel, and got a bargain room rate through search engine. Room was interior and looked out over the lobby which was a shame. It was also quite loud, you could hear conversations at reception despite being on the 5th floor and having windows closed. Also in the evening they had a pianist and singer performing in the lobby,... More

I can say we liked everything about the hotel, location, rooms, breakfast, sauna....The customer service level at the reception was the only negative point. They were slow, not reactive and made mistakes with rooms and keys in our case. Should be better trained.

This was our first stay in Berlin and this hotel is the perfect location. The hotel is close to all the top sights and attractions and of course shopping. We had a lovely, comfortable room for three. the staff were very friendly and could not of been more helpful. The great breakfast was a great start to the day. We... More

This is a beautiful hotel, very well located, right on one of the main streets of East Berlin. Friedrich Street is a busy one, but at the same time the Eurostars Hotel is located some 100 meters from the Spree river, where a tourist can sit down, in one of the many coffee houses, enjoy the river's fresh air and... Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
