Hotel Jurine is really well located. It is close to the U-bahn station and also close the some places you want to visit in the city. The interior is typical German and the bathrooms are a little small. We had a room including breakfast. The breakfast was good, only the coffee was really really bad.

Very pleasant 4-day stay at this modest hotel. Staff was helpful, breakfast good, location excellent (short walk to U-bahn), with lots of great restaurants and interesting shops in area. But a warning: stay away from street ATM machines in vicinity of hotel: we were 'skimmed' and account depleted two days after our return to the US.

Friendly staff, always ready to assist and to make bookings for us. Room is small but comfortable, everything works and is very clean. Breakfast buffet is fabulous with a rich variety. Simple and good. Perfect location. Third visit for me and we will come back again.

Hotel Jurine is in a good neighborhood, easy to get to places and good restaurants. It was not a good place to stay however. It was nearly impossible to get the wifi to work, and you needed to pay extra for each device. The wifi expired at a certain time each night, and you were just out of luck. Another...

Berlin was a fabulous city and we had high hopes for this family owned quaint hotel in a wonderful neighborhood. The staff was not only unhelpful, but actually rude. They were totally unhelpful with directions when asked simple questions and seemed annoyed when asked anything specific...like an address. Anything we asked for (extra towels) were not available. Also, we were...

We enjoyed our stay here. The location is terrific..in a trendy residential area. There are many small local, excellent restaurants and the subway stop is minutes away. The breakfast is very good. The negatives are minor. Most staff are friendly and helpful but not all. The kitchen staff could use a little training in graciousness way.

Clean, comfortable, affordable, quiet. You don't need much more if you are on a biz trip. It is very well located (closest UBahn is Senefelder Platz). Arounr the place there are many restaurants to try.

Overall, a good hotel. Our rooms were on the sixth floor, and had balconies overlooking the Telecom. tower in Alexanderplatz.. They had safety boxes and beds were comfortable. Staff overall friendly and mostly helpful. We had a little trouble on our arrival, when the person at the front desk became upset after we decided to go for the hotel's buffet....

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
