This hotel is ideally situated across the street from the Hauptbahnhof. Bus and street car transportation is right outside the door. The rooms are on the small side but are set up like a ship so everything has its place. This hotel was recommended to...More
This was my 1st experience with Motel One. Very pleased; clean, well kept common area, pleasant staff, room was comfortable. Great location. Recommend without hesitation to anyone looking for a place to stay. Not for those looking for high end luxury.
The staff were very friendly and the location (literally across the road from the Central Rail Station and Bus to Tegel airport just up the road) is excellent
Bathrooms are tiny but very well designed. The rooms are also designed to make maximum use of...More
The good: location, breakfast
The bad: Hard bed, indifferent staff, loud music on ground floor that they say they cannot turn off. Inconsistent wifi. If you want coffee before breakfast you have to pay for it. Last day here: Maid took the room card out...More
Great hotel, fantastic design in a cozy environment, great back yard. Everything carefully selected. Very near Hauptbahnhof, feel in the heart of the town. 10th floor great view to all the city of Berlin. Bio-breakfast, great choices.
You may not realize Moabit is one of the city’s most central neighbourhoods when you arrive at Hauptbahnhof (central station). Surrounded by waterways, Moabit is a quiet island protected from the hustle and bustle of Berlin. The crowds that do gather prefer spending their evenings in cozy restaurants over the party venues offered by other districts. With its beautiful parks, old housing and romantic industrial areas, life
has traditionally been relaxed and a bit slower here. But the tone may soon be changing. Reasonable housing costs and proximity to city centre are attracting more young Berliners and international visitors. This interest is encouraging new bars, cafés and nightclubs, making Moabit a candidate for most up-and-coming neighbourhood in the city.

There is a bus going from outside the Airport hall at street level. You will find signs for "Bus" inside the arrival hall. It has 'TXL' on the destination window, and it goes direct to the Central Station (Hauptbahnhof). It costs Euro 2.70, and you pay either the driver or in peak periods a seller outside. The hotel Motel One is on the same side of the station, where the bus arrives, you don't have to go through the whole station.
