We stayed her recently for 5 days we checked in on our wedding anniversary on the 11th October we were allocated room 1111 I could not have written this better. This is a big, bustling hotel in the Heart of Berlin. I was there for a two day business conference and in between meetings, I was surrounded by bus loads of tourists. Having jet lag, I was up early for breakfast on the first day - a very nice buffet with lots of choices. The second day however, was chock...

I stayed here for a week in October. The location is perfect. You can take the U subway, walk, or take a train anywhere you want to go. It's the tallest building in Berlin, so it makes finding your way back easy. The rooms are good sized. I found the curtain around the shower and vanity to be a clever...

Central location, easy to find, very convenient for sightseeing as close to public transport. Nice and efficient persons at the reception, quick check in and checkout. The reception is quite old fashion (style sixties) but our room was nicely and recently decorated, clean although quite small (not meant for tall or large persons). Our room overlooked the TV tower and...

We, a small family, enjoyed our stay very much at the Park Inn. We had a fantastic view and were right in the middle of the city. The breakfast is much than one can expect to get, and the staff was extremely helpful most of the time. We would definitely go back again!

I was in Berlin for work and extended my stay last minute for 3 days so I had to switch hotels as the one I was staying in was fully booked. There is a Burger King right next to reception! When I arrived, the not so friendly receptionist advised me that they were fully booked so will upgrade me for...

Part of a group of 20 males this hotel was idea for our weekend trip. Checked us all in very quickly, only my room needed to be changed (double instead of twin), is was done immediately. Best point, great location for sight seeing. I booked a night here as part of a business conference. I arrived quite early ( 12:30) and after a very slow check in I was greeted by a grumpy and abrupt receptionist. Take note of the sign for the reception que which states " wait here for the next smile" well I...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
