I stayed at Grand Hyatt Berlin for just one night and it was just amazing. I want to thank Oscar, the guy who checked me in. Very polite, helpful and professional employee. Also the blond girl in reception who speak Spanish in the Afternoon shift ( can not remember her name) They also have a very nice and well equipated gym on the top floor. Room is spacious, clean and with a very nice view. Can’t wait to come back to Berlin to stay here again!
Our first trip to Germany, and we stayed at the Grand Hyatt Berlin for the entire time of our vacation, more than 3 1/2 weeks. With such a long stay, we had a lot of time to thoroughly evaluate the hotel. The short version is that this is one of the world's great Hyatt hotels, and ties with the Park Hyatt NYC, the Hyatt on the Bund (Shanghai), and the Huntington Beach Resort & Spa in terms of the excellence of its facilities and service. We will definitely be back. The Grand Hyatt Berlin has a natural advantage simply in its location: it's right next to Potsdamer Platz, which provides convenient subway/train service to most any place you would want to go in Berlin. And it's just a few steps away from the Tiergarten, the "green lung" of Berlin that is the German equivalent of Central Park in NYC You can easily walk to the Brandenburg Gate, the Holocaust Memorial, Museum Island, the Espionage Museum, and innumerable other sights from the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by affordable restaurants. For an authentic German experience, .order one of the food platters from nearby Pauliner brewery. For an authentic American (but nonetheless delicious) experience, buy one of the superb burgers from nearby Burgermeister. The Grand Hyatt Berlin offers a wealth of benefits for Globalists. My family loved the daily breakfast, which offered a huge spread of delicious foods, along with made-to-order omelets, eggs, and crepes (if you have kids, have them try the Nutella crepe.) In the evenings, the club offered Globalists a "cocktail hour" that included dinner foods, wine, and a really superior Hefeweizen. The club is staffed by gracious, efficient hosts. The hotel has a huge health club, a lukewarm hot tub, and a very cold (to Americans) swimming pool. On the hottest days of our stay, we enjoyed these amenities and met some very nice German folks while socializing there. Pro tips for first timers to Berlin, especially if you have family: 1) yeah, this is the hotel you want, especially if you have Hyatt status 2) take the train from nearby Potsdamer Platz to Wansee. If you are at all fit, do the long hike from Wansee to Potsdam. Download the "Komoot" app to find some fantastic hiking routes. 3) Kids will love the nearby Deutsches Technikmuseum (German Museum of Technology) and Deutsches Spionagemuseum Berlin (German Spy Museum Berlin) 4) If you are staying more than a week consider buying an annual pass to Museum Island and the wonderful Berlin Zoo. …
Its been more than 6 years since i last stayed at this hotel, and I am pleased to say that it has manintained its excellent standards of service and cleanliness. Location in Potsdamer Platz is excellent, close to sights, theatres, great restaurants, theatres and more, would recommend to anyone visiting Berlin.
Grand Hyatt team exceeded my expectations, so friendly so helpful and most importantly so professional, hotel it self has a nice room and couple of nice restaurants, location is perfect and close to a mall
Very comfortable all round, attentive staff and clean rooms. Restaurant was also excellent and well placed in the city. Desk staff were very attentive and helpful. Would be happy to use this hotel again.
Grand Hyatt Berlin is a really wonderful, clean and stylish hotel. However, building without people is nothing more than nice building. What made my stay splendid were ever-smiling teams. Starting from check-in, during breakfast in Vox, having drink in the Bar, dinner in Tizian, rooms service to check-out, people were amazing. Special thanks to the night team of Panos, Antonio and Mesut for making an extra mile towards me and my friends. Please keep up such wonderful atmosphere. Thank you for my wonderful stay.
It was our second stay at Grand Hyatt Berlin and we did not regret returning. A couple of things are extraordinarily good - That would be the level of friendliness of staff members (especially at breakfast), the room's cleanliness - except for the bed linens in the beginning, which were changed after our notice - and a tasty breakfast. A little unfortunate that when trying to contact the hotel's General Manager by email in advance, he never replied! Actually, that is not the way things should work and we were really surprised because he had contacted us after our last negative feedback regarding breakfast. A big shout-out to breakfast quality adjustments in the meantime, especially the high-cass sparkling wine deserves praise! Our little Hyatt Explorist upgrade was hyped a little much by the receptionist and our pre-arrival request for a second duvet was not pursued. Further requests, such as for certain tea flavours, were not thoroughly executed. Nonetheless, we felt comfortable in our King Room City View, where a lovely chocolate and macaron present awaited us. Even though not brand new, the design looks tasteful and timeless. Just the safety box's number manual calls for immediate renewal, since the numbers have already mostly faded. The bed was very comfortable, the marble bathroom pleasantly decorated. The integrated shower and bathroom funcionality is not really intuitive, as temperature and water pressure cannot be controlled independently. In addition, the Grand Hyatt bathroom amenity brand "Balmain" is far from overwhelming. In-room dining was of decent quality and pricing with no extra tray charge, the minibar with affordable local products must be applauded, and the location in proximity to Potsdamer Platz is very convenient, even though not overly charming. Overall, still the best option we have tried in Berlin so far.…
I was truly impressed with the hotel, both from a facilities perspective and from a staff perspective. Mine was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Berlin.
Grand Hyatt Berlin was the perfectly situated luxury hotel for a trip that centered around the Philharmonie and other events around Potsdamer Platz. The front desk anticipated all needs from check-in to check out and the on-site VOX Restaurant provided both an extelnsive breakfast buffet as well as a lavish preconcert dinner
I stayed at the Grand Hyatt Berlin last February then stayed two more times in this beautiful hotel: in 2017 and 2019 always during the Christmas period,(as i come from a poor area of Afghanistan i am always impressed by the high level hotel service) I stayed for about ten days every times at the Grand Hyatt berlin for business reasons andmy working conditions were tiring as I had to roam the boundless city for 10 hours a day in the middle of winter. I will start by saying that the location is good, close to many restaurants, tourist attractions and the subway station, i also saw a nice swimming pool; the breakfast was much better than expected, it was abundant and with excellent coffee, the room was spacious and well furnished but perhaps a little cold, no hotel has duvets as thick and soft as grand hyatt berlin and the large white duvet was the motivation as i returned to my room in the evening after the working day, The bed was to die for. I wish I could speak to the staff at the grand hyatt berlin to find out if it is possible to purchase a duvet. as far as the staff is concerned, I have had practically no contact with the employees so I cannot express myself, however I think it is fortunate to have so many restaurants nearby where I have dined without difficulty; finally the bathroom is luxurious and offers a good shower…
