We stayed at this hotel for three nights on a city break. It was ideal for our purpose; good size clean bedroom, comfy bed, clean shower room, wifi. Very quiet too in our room at the rear of the third floor. Good temperature control in our room and elsewhere. Breakfast was enjoyable; a couple of cooked options plus a good...

Superb find, we would book his hotel again in a heartbeat . Location is great very close to the U Bahn station from where you can access the whole of Berlin. Plenty of eateries and stalls nearby local and international and all excellent value. Really good free wi fi. Massive breakfast choice..Never seen so many fruit juices on offer. Carpets...

We stayed in Hotel LvB in Oct 2016 while attending friends’ wedding. We selected the hotel, as the venue was near and the price-rating ratio was great. And it included breakfast. The location was great, few hundred meters away from Hermannplatz U-bahn station on U7 & U8 lines. Plenty of small restaurants within 100 m, Karstadt department store in vicinity,...

My room was a good size, on the top floor, with windows overlooking the street and park. It was clean and comfortable - functional rather than luxurious.Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful, and breakfast (included in the remarkably reasonable room rate) was more than adequate. Everything worked. The real plus points for me were the value for money and the...

We stayed in the hotel while visiting our son who was studying in Berlin. We found it to be very comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed the buffet style breakfast which was included in our booking. The rooms were quite spacious with a good size bathroom. It was within easy walking distance of a U bahn station. We would certainly...

We stayed in a top floor room, it was street facing but still very quiet. The rooms were old but clean and nice. The bed linens were decent, the bathroom was very clean. The breakfast was fantastic. The hotel offers free parking immediately behind the building. Really, there was not a single thing to complain about.

Big room, very clean, great shower and bathroom. Breakfast excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful with perfect English. Lots of shops and restaurants on the same street. Very close to the Hermannplatz U-bahn station. About 30 minutes to Hauptbahnhof by train - slightly longer late at night so we took a cab to get there, which cost about E20. Even...

We stayed here a couple nights in August. My wife and I were both quite satisfied with the hotel. I have stayed comfortably many times at this hotel. Amongst many possibilities of activities & places to eat, Karstadt Departmant store is very nearby where amongst other things one can get good inexpensive meals and a view from the excellent roof top self service restaurant.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
