We stayed at the appartment no 1 (which has separate bedroom) for 3 nights. Right after entering the room for the first time, our 10 year old son said that he'd like to live there, it's so cozy. And I totally agree with him. The rooms are clean, kitchen is well equipped (although you have to take your own spices...

Jacqui found this great spot a few years ago when we needed to find a place to stay for the ITB show. Judging by the name I thought it may be a " youth hostel" but after looking at the web site we saw it was a really great looking apartment! It is one stop away from a really trendy...

We stayed here in mid-January 2015. This hotel is located in former East Berlin. It's a 3-5 minute walk from Alexanderplatz station. Further, the city centre is around 15 minutes away. The hotel serves croissants and coffee in the morning while we found the staff more than helpful. The only downside was the fact that we got two single beds...

Great location near lively streets but very quiet and calm inside. Studio apartment very clean, comfortable and spacious with well equipped kitchen area. Sofa, desk, mini dining table, everything! Nice bathroom, good shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Really good value for money. Would definitely book again. We are a couple in our fifties but I think it would suit...

This review is for a stay in late November. As a couple, we enjoyed the location and the unit was perfect. It has great space and cleanliness, overall the best we experienced during our recent trip through Europe on a budget. The pricing was fair and well worth it. The heating is great, the size of the kitchen, bathrooms, bedroom...

We enjoyed our stay, close to restaurants and shopping! Check out their website for really good maps of the area and recommended places to go! Only downside is the very hard beds!! Apart from the beds, we couldn't have been more happy about Flowers, nice coffe and bread served in the morning!

Tripadvisor really does work!! My daughter and I booked an apartment during the Christmas week and we weren't disappointed. The apartment has plenty of natural light and is very clean and well equipped, with the usual coffee machine, toaster, microwave, dishwasher etc (missing a chopping board, though I'm sure that if I had asked they would have provided one). I...

We REALLY enjoyed our stay here at this split level apartment. It was great being so high up in the building great views across the city and the snow we had just made the outlook even more pretty. Croissants and coffee each were great and all we needed for breakfast. We had washing done here, it was back to us...

Excellent apartments in Central Berlin - 3 minutes walk from nearest underground and 5 from Alexanderplatz where you can get buses, trains and underground to anywhere in the city. The apartments have a small kitchen with cooker, coffee maker, and dishwasher and are spotlessly clean You pick up coffee and croissants from downstairs in the morning. The staff are friendly...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
