The hotel is an excellent choice for its central location, where you can do most of Berlin Mitte by foot, the next U-Bahn stop is just a couple of minutes away. The Relexa is a good business hotel, the rooms are functional and clean, but seem a bit dated. Try to get a room facing the backyard, if you like...

Location : very good also if the area is not really residential. Near to the very centre of the city. I had a very good experience with this hotel due to flexibility of the management. I really appreciated it. The hotel is recent and the room was clean and good , with some details as delight ( apples and a...

Beautiful hotel, location isn't incredible but it's pretty good walking distance to most things!! The only down side was no air conditioning in the rooms, don't know how a 4 star hotel gets that rating without aircon?? I will give credit though on the request Of a fan I had a pedestal fan bought to the room within ten mins,...

We spent four nights here in order to see Berlin and we were very happy with our stay. Since we stayed for four nights the hotel upgraded us to a larger room which had a small sitting room and a bedroom with a closing door. This was especially important since we have a one year old daughter and this allowed...

The hotel is kept spotlessly clean and the staff are friendly and willing to help. The breakfast was absolutely amazing; so much choice and diversity, even for a fussy veggie like me! Healthy, indulgent, unexpected and always tasty! One major flaw was that the rooms didn't have any air conditioning and so were too hot for a comfortable sleep. However,...

The Relexa served our needs well for a one week's stay in June. It's not in a particularly exciting area of Berlin for tourists. It's three blocks southwest of Checkpoint Charlie. There are two U stations nearby, so it's convenient to go elsewhere in that regard. Excellent Morelos Steakhouse just a block away. There is good value for the money...

Relaxa Stuttgarter Hof is one of those forgettable hotels you have everywhere. It seems well run, it's efficient, catering to business men who want a bed and a reliable internet connection. Period. So if that's all you want, this hotel is fine. Anhalter Strasse, by the way, is as bland as the hotel itself, but it's close to a station...

What a great hotel Joerg and his team looked after us so well. The service, location, food and room were all fantastic and we'll definitely be back if we stay in Berlin. All the staff were excellent and the standard of housekeeping was first class, our room was spotless. If you go to Berlin you've got to stay here.

Well, the overall judgment is “medium”. The hotel is undoubtedly located at walking distance from the city centre. The price is not so high. The level of cleanliness of the rooms is not standard (I mean, it is below) for a 4-stars hotel. As far as ethics and socio-cultural aspects are concerned, part of the staff appears somewhat corrupted.

Staying in Kreuzberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Kreuzberg
Berlin's revolutionary heart and immigrant roots can both be found in Kreuzberg, but this central neighbourhood is beginning a new chapter. In the 1950s and '60s, Turkish guest workers settled around Kottbusser Tor, while in the 1980s and '90s, rambunctious squatters and artists gathered to live a carefree life here. An old hospital even became a hotspot of riots between squatters and police. Today you can still find the best kebabs in town and many underground clubs, but a lot has changed as well. The hospital has been transformed into an art center, and increasingly you will find new urban cafés, restaurants and designer shops. Rising housing prices and gentrification threaten the spirit of this area along the Spree River, but the neighbourhood’s legacy is upheld by a very engaged community fighting to preserve its rebellious identity.
