Detailed Reviews
My husband and I stayed at this Novotel for 4 nights. We were in a handicapped room, which we didn't request, which was very spacious. This is an older hotel and as some have mentioned a little dated but the bed was comfortable . However it also looked out over a busy street and there was some street noise. Fortunately we always travel with earplugs. The price we paid through Accor direct booking was reasonable for the room and the hotel location. We did not eat the breakfast there but did have an early dinner one night at the restaurant and we also enjoyed having drinks at the bar. There is a market nearby. The hotel is close to the UBahn line and is also within walking distance of many of the major sites in East Berlin. The staff at the front desk and at the bar and restaurant were great. Very nice and accomodating. They made our stay there very pleasant.

I booked this hotel because of its location: easy walking distance to Museuminsel and the Spittalmarkt U2 station. I asked for a quiet room on a higher floor and got one. The room was comfortable; I appreciated the amenities, such as the coffee and tea. I found the breakfast of high quality, but I do think that 21 Euros per day is too expensive. At similar hotels elsewhere in Germany, comparable breakfasts run 12-15 Euros. My two-night stay was pleasant enough, and I would stay at this hotel again.

Stayed here for 4 nights with family. The hotel is at a great location in central Berlin (closest underground stop is a few hundred meters away). It is close to a lot of historical sites so easy to get around on foot if you like. The hotel has a kids corner which was fantastic as we had a 7 year old. The room was ok, a bit dated but the biggest challenge for me was lack of management. So, 4/4 days, the food at breakfast kept running out with no one watching. People had to remind staff who at times shrugged shoulders or were helpful. The start of the day was ruined every single day as you had to wait for real long or make do with items left over. After the 3rd day, I sent a note to hotel management who till date (abt a week now) haven’t acknowledged which seems to suggest that it is a regular phenomenon. I mentioned at checkout and they said, yes, we just read your email - no remorse though! Took away two stars for poor experience and apathy from management from an otherwise great hotel.

We spent a wonderful time in this hotel. We really enjoyed the nice staff, the location and the very clean rooms! Kids loved the breakfast in the morning and the location was really great to get into the city. We did most of the visit walking from the hotel!

The hotel is perfectly located for visiting the Museuminsel museums, what we did. It’s just 5-10 minutes away from Pergamon museum. It is situated in a busy street but is surprisingly quiet in spite of the traffic. On the inside however, you can hear everything that goes on in the corridor. It’s rather tired looking. Fitted carpet in our room should have been replaced a few years ago and the walls could do with a fresh lick of paint as well. No slippers, no bathrobes , no USB sockets but wifi is free. The room had a kettle, hairdryer and a mini-fridge with complimentary bottle of water for each. And nothing else in there in the fridge. In a 4 star hotel! There was just one (!) English channel on TV and that is France24. No BBC, no Sky News, not to mention movie channels. Bring your own pen drive if you want to watch movies. Breakfast was above average. No Prosecco though. Taxi to Hauptbahnhof is €18. All in all at €170 a night B&B these days it is OK I should think.

Overall very enjoyable experience at Novotel Mitte. Ideally located just a 2 minute walk from the nearest underground station. Museum Island only a 5-10 minute walk away. We enjoyed dinner in the restaurant on one evening of our stay. The food was delicious and our waiter was extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel room was clean and the bed was one of the comfiest hotel room beds I’ve ever experienced. Didn’t opt for breakfast as found that €21 pp was extremely expensive. ‘Children’s area’ beside the hotel lobby was a bit disappointing as only included an Xbox, but appreciated the effort all the same. Housekeeping staff, while always having the hotel room clean, were very unfriendly whenever encountered in the hallways. At one point a housekeeping staff member almost knocked over our young child whilst barging through the corridor. All in all would absolutely recommend to families and couples alike. Would most definitely consider returning again in the future.

I don’t remember in my life to have an experience like this. Employees has not aptitude to serve or attend their guest. Since my arrival all was terrible. I arrived with my family to enjoy our vacations and the service was the worst in my life. The hotel charges in advance services like parking, breakfast and it can not to support but the aptitude of the employees is the worst. Don’ t consider this hotel. Only the location is good.

Great stay at the Novotel Mitte as always. Despite all of the challenges due to corona, everyone at the hotel was really good at managing all of the corona restrictions as well as providing a first class service. Thank you for all the help and guidance throughout the visit.

We stayed at the Novotel Berlin Mitte for an Easter weekend break and we were delighted with the location, the hotel and the excellent staff. The hotel is situated a short walk from the major museums of Museumsinsel, Alexanderplatz (Fernsehturm, Rotes Rathaus etc) and the pubs, restaurants and small shops of the Nikolaiviertel. There is an U-Bahn (metro) station very close by, for access to the rest of the city.
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities.
The staff were outstanding, very helpful. Even in advance of our arrival they agreed to take delivery of concert tickets which we picked up on check-in, saving postage costs to the UK. We had a late flight home and they agreed to let us check out at 6 PM (!!) for only 30 Euros, which meant we could relax and enjoy a full day in the city.
I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Just back from Berlin and had a fantastic time with my sons. The making of the trip was the hotel, the Novotel Berlin Mitte. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, only surpassed by the brilliant breakfast which certainly set us up for the day. A superb central location close to Alexanderplatz and Museum Island, with a U Bahn station a couple of minutes walk away made it a great base to visit the sights.

they have a parking space that is fit to SUV as far as i know the parking needs to be paid.
you need to ask at reception for an iron, they will send you one up also an ironing board.
My wife is also gluten free. I don’t know if there are gluten free options at the restaurant, but here’s what we did... The rooms have small refrigerators in them and there’s a grocery store on the block that offers plenty of Gluten frei options. She would buy items and keep them in the fridge for breakfast. FYI, there are so many great restaurants as you walk towards the TV tower. They are well aware of gluten free. My wife enjoyed wild boar and rabbit. The reason we chose this hotel was due to a heat wave. The hotel was reasonably priced, modern, and had AC.
