Direct train from the airport (S9). Located 15 min away by tram from Alexanderplatz and main attractions. Clean dorms (some have lockers) and restrooms. Hot water in showers (no door though for intimacy). Bar (Alex and Amy were friendly)and restaurant. Breakfast not included.

Went on a university trip with 35+ people.Only problems we found were the restaurant wasn't open in the evenings when we went and neither was the bar. The rooms were a good size and were all easily accessible. Does need a re vamp though!

Not a bad hostel but could definitely go with a renovation. In compared to other generators I've stayed at it's quite disappointing. Location is average- not much about but the tram/tram connection is really good. For a cheap weekend away it was good but I don't think I'd stay again.

Out of all generators ive stayed before this is actually the one i think is the best. Location is far from all the points of interest in berlin but there is a train station just in from of the hostel so you can go to anywhere from there. Good food options around and has also a great bar.

+ Not in the center, but right at an S-Bahn and tramway station. + Clean and comfortable. Great staff, 24h reception. + Restaurant and bar on ground floor. - 6 electric sockets for 8 beds. - Not so intimate showers (simple curtain, no door).

We was staying in Berlin for 5 days (4 nights) and we booked a two-person room with own bathroom. The room was really small but clean and modestly but sufficiently equiped (2 beds, 2 chairs, 1 little table, hanger with mirror and shelfs). It is hostel, so one have to expect it to be noisy. Especially when is the hostel...

I was visiting a few friends who were staying near alexanderplatz, I initially opted for a mixed room but when I arrived was uncomfortably roomed with 3 older males (I am a 21 year old female) I decided I was uncomfortable and asked to pay for a female room, for only 10 extra Euros the front desk allowed me to...

We got here and we immediately received a warm welcome at the reception. We had a small room with 2 bunk beds but we just needed a hostel to crash at inbetween visiting stuff. It's located right across a trainstation so it was convenient for us to get everywhere. We loved the staff and they were so helpful with telling...

Not cozy at all, sterile and prison-like. Paper walls. Unless you have very quiet neighbours, expect to hear everything they say. Can be up to 100m walk to toilets. Very small rooms. Unless you are a young people looking for a very cheap place to crash in between binge drinking, you will not enjoy this place at all.

Staying in Prenzlauer Berg

Neighbourhood Profile
Prenzlauer Berg
No Berlin neighbourhood has undergone a greater change than Prenzlauer Berg. The artists and non-conformists that defined the district’s intriguing subculture in the 1980s and 90s have been replaced by a young, hip crowd that frequents the many cafes. Where there were once run-down houses in the shadow of the Berlin Wall, there are now designer shops. Beautiful old homes have been modernized and renovated, and on Sundays, thousands turn the park next to remnants of the wall into a playground for street artists, musicians, and flea market shoppers. This attracts young urban families who enjoy the balance of big city life and small-town comfort. Meanwhile, trendy, young, upper-class visitors from all over the world are attracted to the local high-end shops, cafés, and sophisticated bars and restaurants. The merits of this transformation are a favorite topic of debate around the city, but it makes for some of the best people-watching Berlin has to offer.
