Great hostel. Location was perfect, near a train station and U bahn but on a quiet little street near artistic park. Close to everything. Stores as ALDI, Kaisers, Lidl are really close too..Clubs are just down the road. We stay in double room. The room was spacious, clean and warm. Really liked huge kitchen and dining area shared with a...

In my 5th time in Berlin I stayed at Sunflower and I'm sure I'll stay again in all the next visits, the hostel is absolutely great, cheap, clean, cozy, rooms are big, staff is very helpful and friendly, reception bar with fair prices, just met awesome people and of course, you can reach the supermarket and great cheap restaurants by...

We arrived here and were able to check in early. The staff were very lovely. Our room was very basic but mostly nice, the only problem being our bed - the slats kept popping out whenever we rolled over, so it made sleeping on it a bit nerve wracking! Breakfast is 3 euros, and its all you can eat- which...

I stayed here with my sister for a week, we met quite a few people here due to the young and social nature of the hostel. We were in a room for three and for a few days it was just us which was good. There was a bathroom type thing in our room with a shower and sink but...

Our friends arrived there on a Friday night after travelling from Amsterdam and as soon as we got there we knew we picked the right hostel. The place was buzzing with people who were all drinking and chatting. Everyone who was staying in the hostel were young also and so friendly. The bedrooms were really, clean and comfortable and the...

I stayed here for two nights in a private room with a friend. The hostel is clean and comfortable and staff are very helpful. The breakfast is good value too. On the downside our room was very hot and extremely noisy all night - as it was just above the outside bar. The hostel didn't seem to enforce the quiet...

My fiancé and I just ended our three night stay at the sunflower hostel. We really enjoyed our room and how big the kitchen area was, very easy to cook there. Only weird complaint was that we had to leave our key to our room at the front desk every time we left. Otherwise it was very clean and the...

We absolutely loved this hostel! It was friendly, vibrant and in a great location (also cheap in comparison to many others!) The €3 breakfast set us up for the day and the staff were always available and happy to help - Would definitely return!

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
