Absolutely loved staying here whilst visiting Berlin. Spending 9 nights with students from uni in St Christopher's inn was great. You could also go on a nightclub tour for around 12 Euros which gave you free entry to all the clubs for the night and some free drinks, the company are partnered with the hotel and it starts from where...

I were a bit nervous about the hostel being on top of a bar - but it was great! You are not bothered but the noise at all. In general, it is a nice hostel, and as a bonus you get a discount in the bar! The staff where quit friendly and helpful. Go Stay here! It is central and...

Very nice hostel with lots of friendly staff and allot of fellow backpackers. The breakfast thats included with the price is pretty good. Only thing is that the bed I stayed in was not very comfy. But definitely not bad. Great place overall.

I definitely recommend you stay here because the lounge is awesome, the bar is always busy, and the backpackers there value sightseeing & partying!!! It was the perfect scene for an 18-30 year old who likes to meet people and have fun!!

Clean, tidy and spacious apartment with shared facilities however in 3 days we did not see any other guests in our apartment at all St Christopher's has a great bar that appears to attract people from all over and not just guests who are staying. Cheap drinks, cheap plentiful food and a good atmosphere to meet new people and watch...

This was one of the highlights of Berlin and the best hostel we stayed in over our 2 month trip. Had the most amazing food downstairs and the prices of the food and drink was insanely trip even before they give you the discount for staying there! Try the blue cheese burger! 6 Euro for 3 yagga boms! And to...

I arrived late at night from a train so when I saw the front of the hostel I was a little worried that id never be able to sleep! Luckily, I was wrong and the hostel is a distance from the bar that it didn't even impact me! Rooms were very nice and and the staff was very friendly.

Great location (the underground station entrance is 3 meters from their door); fantastic atmosphere in the main pub attached; friendly and helpful staff; amazingly quiet rooms for a “party-hard” part of town; spotless! My two sons and I stayed in one of the “apartments” on the fourth floor – high above the noise and hubbub, which was great. In these...

I visit Berlin a few times a year and alway stay here. Nowadays i stay in the private apartments which have great internet connection and comfy beds. Main reason i stay here is the bar and facilities. Friendly staff, great food and best place to watch sport.

Staff were fantastic especially Gemma (from England) so super helpful. Clean and tidy although rooms and hallways very sterile and in need of a good paint. Pillows were terrible. Food and drinks very cheap, good location, free breakfast and wifi. Breakfast was great and staff looked after us due to 7am departure. New showers/bathrooms being put in. Was noisy one...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
