This is, by far, the best St Christopher's I've stayed in. The staff was super cheerful, the cleaning immaculate, the breakfast (which was included in the rate) extensive enough, the location central... The dorm room was quite small though and in the 35 degrees plus heat, it was near to impossible to sleep.

Had the good fortune to be in Berlin in April and stayed at St Christopher's. Had a great time. Check in was easy - the manager even showed me to my apartment! Staff were really friendly and the food and beer were great. Location was excellent - close to lots of interesting places. I'd highly. Fantastic atmoshpere on Friday night...

I loved my time here at this hostel. I spent six nights, and I'm glad that one of my longest stops on my trip was in such an awesome place! The breakfast was good and the bar vibe was great. Surprisingly it was also quite quiet in the room, even on a Saturday night. Location is perfect, literally one U...

We were in Berlin performing at the Babylon and the accommodation was booked by the agent. I had feared a shared dorm with strangers for the reasonable price Nope - we had our own apartment with spacious living area and bedroom. One other person was staying there but we didn't see or hear them. The location and view was great...

Great place to stay, barman, receptionist, all staff behaved excellent. Great quality and at a really good price. The discounts they offer regarding food and drinks are a great way to spend an evening at the Hostel. Having the metro right across the street makes it easier to move around the city without having to worry about taxi fairs. Highly...

The hostel is right in front of the Rosa-Luxembourg Strasse metro stop, which is one stop from Alexanderplatz, a major transport hub. I recommend you try and figure out the transport because walking everywhere is not a good way to spend your time. MOSTLY I recommend you RENT A BICYCLE from the hostel or a nearby place, so that you...

I stayed here purely because they were playing State of Origin downstairs. It was awesome, met plenty of people and the rooms were clean. I found some showers were newer and cleaner than others. Only complaints are that because I booked last minute I had to book 3 different rooms for my 4 night stay and I had to check...

Have also stayed at St Chris' Canal in Paris and maybe our expectations were a little too high for Berlin. Nevertheless a good hostel. Loved the breakfast - great spread 8-10am - and was the main reason we booked here. Location - close to Alexanderplatz S Bahn station and a cool little area. Walking distance to everything and the area...

Nice price with a friendly accomodation. Clean and always crowded , nice music on Friday's and very good location. Fair prices and close to the Berlin Subway. Could have more food options. I was on the double room and has plenty of safety and privacy.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
