We stayed, as a couple, for 2 nights. The location is great - really close to public transport, the Natural History Museum, bars, cafes and restaurants. We liked going to the Vietnamese restaurant and the Pier (pub) all next door. Taxi to Schoenefeld airport was about 50 euros. The hotel itself is very nice, with a really comfortable room. The...

Stayed in the I31 Hotel - it was comfortable , clean , friendly and good value. A short 1km walk to Berlin Hbf. The Christmas Markets were easy to find, busy , full of things to see, do and buy. Lots of transport options with taxi and tramps always available.

This modern stylish hotel is exceedingly welcoming - and something different from any big chain hotels – a little laidback but professional at the same time! Our upper floor Brown Comfort room (721) facing the quiet garden was very clean and filled with nice amenities (see my attached photos). Tea and coffee machine in room and the daily chocolates were...

Hotel was really clean, modern and staff with great. Room was a good size with a free mini bar. The only criticism was the room was a bit cold at night and the coveres were a bit narrow (not sure if this is a German thing). Really well situated and only 3 mins from the Underground station and there was...

A very well appointed room in a great location for walking to Museuminsel and Alexanderplatz. Close to transport links. Great touches such as free soft drinks in mini bar. Very clean and comfortable. Loved the Christmas tree in a woodland setting in the foyer.

It is a really good hotel, but costs about twice what it should. It is impeccably clean, well situated and most of the staff are very nice. It is a modern design, really nice, but the room is tiny, close to claustrophobic. Wifi is very unreliable, every day it took half an hour to get on, on the last day...

I'm travelling quite a lot, but I can't remember the last time I liked a hotel as much as I enjoyed i31. Absolutely clean, very friendly staff, cozy and comfy rooms with all you need. Photos show the hotel exactly how it is. If you're looking for a place at Berlin Mitte, this is where you should go.

A welcome drink upon arrival, well designed rooms with free WiFi without irritating passwords, a complimentary minibar, a healthy breakfast and a central location in Berlin Mitte—i31 exceeds expectations all around. If the Sauna would be complimentary as well this would be boutique budget heaven on earth.

Dear Daniel, Thank you very much for your kind and almost perfect feedback. We are delighted that you liked your stay at our Boutique Hotel. Regarding your remark towards the sauna. Unfortunately we are forced by German tax law to show breakfast, sauna and accommodation separately on your bill as every position is taxed differently. As we also want to...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
