When we arrived, we found out that we were staying in a small apartment a few doors down for the actual hotel due to overbooking. It was not a problem at all because it was clean, safe and quiet. The little apartment had two twin beds and a nice, clean bathroom. The price was just right - 70E per night....

I was staying at Hotel Juncker's with all of my colleagues and we had a great staying. The staff was really nice to us, and helped us whenever we needed it. Good location near to a U-bahn station with connections to the big shopping- and culture places! I would recomment it to others! Its not luxury at all, but nice...

I stayed here on business, and liked the hotel very much. My room was clean (I'm majorly into clean) and cozy, the nights were quiet and the bed was comfy (I'm also majorly into being able to sleep), and I felt quite safe (I'm also really into feeling safe in a hotel). The hotel has very good wireless connection. I'm...

I agree totally with other reviewers. Any idiot can book a megacorp hotel & could be anywhere from Tokyo to Timbuktu as a result - I always believe its better to seek out independent hotels as you get better service (don't confuse service with being able to order an expensive sandwich at midnight!) & a more local input. The hotel...

We had a late arrival to the hotel but it didn´t cause any problems. The friendliness of the staff made us feel warmly welcome from the beginning. The service was excellent, breakfast tasty and little things such as free coffee and tea made our stay very pleasent. The room was quite moderately furnished but cozy, clean and spaceous enough. The...

We stayed 4 nights in May. We booked a double room 4 months in advance. On arrival we were given a small room with 2 single beds. We asked to be shifted but hotel was full. We were told we should have booked a double room with only one double bed in it . On our last night we were...

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel on May 2007 and we are happy to have choosen it. It is not definitely a luxury hotel, neither a "design" hotel, but the room was big, exceptionally clean and very quiet. The bathroom was big enough and also very clean. The hotel has no elevator, I had no problem taking the luggage...

The neighbourhood did not look too promising on the bus from the Ostbahnhof. Definite reminders of less prosperous times when this was East Berlin. But the bus stops right in front of the hotel - easy for luggage. The family who own this hotel also run it with pride. Not luxurious by any stretch, but extremely clean and in good...

Heard of Juncker's hotel by word of mouth, and having checked the reviews on trip advisor I booked immediately. I agree with all the other reviewers, it is an exceptional little hotel with a great location, and at a very reasonable price (65€ for a single room per night). All the staff are very friendly and helpful but the manager...

I spent a long weekend here, in a single room. The charge for three nights' B and B was €154. My room was pleasant, though it had a blind and no curtains, and was too bright in the mornings (I don't know if this is the case for all rooms). The hotel is very quiet, in Friedrichshain, part of the...

Staying in Friedrichshain

Neighbourhood Profile
Friedrichshain
When you arrive at Warschauer Strasse in the heart of the district, you have found one of Berlin’s party hotspots. At night in Friedrichshain, the energy is palpable and the streets of this old worker's quarter are full of street musicians. On one hand, you may find a bar with international crowds, electronic music, long lines and panoramic views - on the other, an outside venue by old train yards featuring decrepit buildings and live alternative music. No matter your taste, the best way to end a night out in Friedrichshain is sitting by the Spree River at the East side gallery, the longest and best preserved piece of the Berlin Wall, watching the sun rise over the beautiful Oberbaum Bridge.
