We stayed in a double private room with own bathroom. It was clean, good location and very friendly and helpful host. Make sure to do the free walking tour, we also did the Red Berlin tour which was well worth it. Definitely recommend Eastener.

Hostel is located in a very good location (30 mins walk to Brandenburg gate!). Its a quiet hostel not for parties. Provides free wifi, lockers, kitchen and fridge. So, you can basically cook if you want to. Staffs are nice and friendly.

It's very well located, the place is very clean and the staff is very helpful. I needed to add one more day to my stay and I didn't have any problem with that. I arrived later than check-in and they left me instructions on how to get in, get my key and everything. On Sunday morning, they even showed me...

Party of four spent one night but was exactly what we needed. Spacious room and great showers with hot water. It was old and a little worn but we would stay there again. Even though we never saw the staff we made arrangements for a late arrival the staff was great.

Easterner hostel is pretty much the standard hostel you'd expect when you read the description. Small hostel, quite central, easy to access from the central station. The receptionist (I didn't ask his name) was super nice and helpful, so they would get 5 stars on customer service. The kitchen is pretty snazzy and there's some basic food available for people...

I don't know the city of Berlin very well but I feel like it was far from anything to do. And the door to my room kept locking me in. It was kind of stressful. The guy working there was very nice and helpful, but he's not there all of the time so you are just waiting for him to...

We contacted the owner the day before to confirm our arrival time. When we arrived no one was there. No one at all. We waited outside in the dark down a not so pleasant looking street for just over half an hour before the manager finally arrived. We were rather unimpressed. He offered to discount us the price of the...

My friend and I got a twin room with bathroom for 3 nights in this hostel. The service was great, the towels and sheets were clean and the room cleaned every day. The location of this hostel is superb, it is a walking distance away from most touristic attractions and very close to the underground. The hostel also offers a...

If you are looking for a bit of fun not only in the city but also inside of a hostel this is the right place for you! Very funny owner Matt is not a regular guy, he is playing electrial guitar in the coridor, giving very funny tips and having very interesting conversation with a guest..only if you want that...

Stayed in the 8 bed dorm. Room was small but by no means too small. Did see a private room that was tiny though! Lockers did not lock and as room door was never closed this definitely proved a safety concern. Room was reasonably clean and bathrooms were cleaned once a day. There were not enough plugs in room and...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.

“If internet connection matters to you-pick rooms in the main building where reception is. (although rooms in the main building have windows towards street and not backyard like the ones with bad internet connection and not ). Sorry, i dont know the numbers for rooms in main building or second building. ask the owner about that. Spare rooms are kind of small but still nice.”
