Stayed here for three nights. Excellent little hotel for the money. Comfortable, large, quiet warm rooms with excellent shower! Didn't eat breakfast although it all looked nice. Friendly, helpful reception too. Approximately 20 minute walk from Sony Centre (to the North) and KaDeWe (East). As others have mentioned, there's a few ladies of the night in the area, but they...

I must admit after reading some of the reviews about this place, I almost cancelled our reservation and booked elsewhere. I'm glad I didn't. I'm not saying people haven't had bad experiences here, but the wording of some of the ratings seemed to lean towards doing the utmost to put you off and ruin future custom for the Hotel. Our...

We went on our first trip to Berlin for an extended weekend (Thursday night to Sunday afternoon) and booked at this hotel, because with had received a gift certificate. So not a choice of our own! But it turned out to be a great place to stay - and I have difficulties recognizing some of the previous and not so...

I had quite a bad experience at Hotel CityB Berlin. It's a bit complicated, so please persevere with my writing. I booked a room 2 months in advance with my credit card. At the time I also emailed the hotel directly Twice to confirm arrival time - they didn't respond to either emails. My credit card was scammed after I...

Well, I can't really comment on the standard of the hotel... other than a nice reception. The fact is that on my arrival, I got the following message from one of employees at the reception "I'm sorry, but you can't stay here". I had prior to this written an e-mail just to make sure that the booking had been registered....

Our trip to New York was cancelled due to the hurricane so we thought we'd use our New York budget for Berlin and spend more than usual to treat ourselves to an expensive room that looks great from their photos. Plus side - a truly huge duplex room that was clearly once amazing = virtually an apartment with two balconies...

We stayed at the hotel for 10 nights. The stuff was nice and helful, and the hotel was modern and beautyful. The hotel is located near a U-Bhan station and has a great transport connections. On the other hand, we got the impresion that the nigherhood is not so good, in the night you can see some ladys offering Service,...

We are currently living out in Germany and making the most out of being able to explore the different cities. Berlin was quite some distance so when we had a long weekend decided to make the most of it and come visit. It was a straight forward 4 hour drive for us with not too many complicated turns until we...

This hotel is directly across from the Bülowstraße U2 line and gives you quick access to both sides of Berlin. The space seems as though it was previously a living space, though there was no kitchen in my room. For the money and location, the rooms are quite spacious and comfortable. The only disadvantage is that my room faced Potsdamerstraße,...

we were there when it was rebuilt - so the room rate was lower. Excellent breakfast - specially soft boiled eggs! rooms big, equipt with everything - you can even prepare some food. underground parking. The only minus was that reception was till 9p.m. and for the keys you had to go to some shop or sth like that (I...

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
