We have stayed one night in this hotel At arrival we had te wait to check in. The creditcard was blocked at once for € 100,- above room price due to possible consumption minibar. At departure it took a while to check out. During the morning housekeeping came along at 09.00 and 11.00. Departure time for us was 12.00. This...

Thanks for your statement. Its a pity that you did not like our house and our service. The procedure with the credit card is the same like everywhere- you have to guarantee for consumption. We do not book any money from your card, its only to blog for guarantee. Sorry for disturbing you with the housekeeping, you are right, on...

It has a perfect location in the city center but in a quiet area. Super modern rooms in an old charming building. The service was very good. Breakfast buffet with many options, for all tastes. If you have to leave early in the morning they will prepare a great lunch box (best i had so far). Would recommend to stay...

Although the price of the room is competitive, I didn't like this hotel. The building is old and the room is quite small. What I disliked the most is however the fact that the shower and the basin are in the room, next to the bed. Thankfully the toilet was in a separate room! A proper bathroom could have been...

Thank you for your statement. It so pity that you didnt like our hotel. The building is from 1930 and has an historical charme. But we tried to style it very modern without loosing the wonderful atmosphere. Kind regards T.Brack and Team

I stayed 2 nights in Ellington hotel, as i had a business event to participate in the same hotel as well. It is placed in a very good location, near to restaurants, some bars and shopping mall KaDeWe. It has a great breakfast and the DUKE restaurant is very nice. They have a standard free wifi, which is ok for...

The Hotel is centrally located. Close to all the big shopping centers and 2 mins walk from the Subway. Access to all major attractions can be done either via Bus, Subway, taxi or your feet. Hotel: Reception staff were great. Nothing more to say. Room: Standard Double - a bit small for 2 people, but not bad at all. For...

We stayed here for the weekend of the Berlin Marathon and found the location and hotel facilities first rate. Great outside bar/dining area in central large courtyard type area. This area had retractable covers to provide shade from sun if needed. The restaurant is excellent with the food of a high standard. However, if there is a criticism it would...

The Ellington has great potential as a hotel; its central location and proximity to many of the Berlin landmarks (Gedaechtniskirche, KaDeWe, Tiergarten, etc.) are definite bonuses. Rooms are clean - even if spartan-looking. Breakfast is clearly poor value for money - at 20€ there are better alternatives in the immediate area; selection of dishes and breakfast room ambience (think charm...

Thanks for your statement, Im sorry that you did not like our breakfast and the Wifi. The Wifi is free of charge with a speed of 1 MBIT Download, so its a very good connection?! Overall, staying at the Ellington is a good choice. The shower consisted of a partition with tinted glass. This may be inconvenient for a family with children. Otherwise everything else was great and it was a relaxing experience.

Situated just off Kufurstendamn (about 10 minutes walk) and just south of Tiergarten, this is a lovely well located hotel that is ideal for shopping and dining. The famous Kadawe department store is also a stone's throw away. It is however, not near the museums and historical attractions that are in the old east Berlin. However, buses that go all...

Very nice, preserved original building and historical traces of second world war. An excellent atmosphere. Cheerful and helpful, energic personnel. I love the garden in summertime. Dishes are delicious.

Staying in Schoneberg

Neighbourhood Profile
Schoneberg
In 1963, Schöneberg was the centre of the political west, inspiring John F. Kennedy to choose this area to famously announce, "Ich bin ein Berliner." Times may have changed, but modern-day Schöneberg still pays tribute to its historical legacies. Once the richest city outside of Berlin proper, the area's affluent past is still visible in ornate housing facades dating back to the Gründerzeit of the 19th century, while residents in fur coats walking their dogs or shopping in high-end KaDeWe continue the tradition with a modern flair. Schöneberg was also once the centre of the decadent and burlesque nightlife of the 1920s. It was here that Marlene Dietrich partied with Christopher Isherwood and the first gay bar in Germany was founded. Today, the gay community still revolves around Nollendorfplatz. The overground Ubahn station is even illuminated in rainbow colors, paying tribute to Schöneberg's progressive past.
