We were here only for one night. It was nice to stay. Atmosphere was cozy and there was bar and billiards downstairs. Also u can have breakfast here, we didn't. Room was small but clean, wifi didn't work too well in rooms, but outside of the room it was ok.

This was a no-non-sense kind of a place.I guess I was pretty much in predicament if I should book here or elsewhere and after booking here and cancelling, then again I booked here as somehow I was not convinced. I booked here primarily due to the location, however the direction as mentioned on the mail wasn't quite clear enough and... More

We stayed in a 5-person dorm. The room was clean, modern and much nicer than you would often find in similarly-priced hostels. Plug sockets weren't very conveniently placed, but the wifi was decent. Nice view and good location! The communal areas were pleasant, and so were the staff. Spoke to other guests in the hostel who were staying in an... More

The hotel has a perfect location just 3 blocks from one of the main stations of Berlin. The room was very nice and comfortable. We had a mini suit (small toilet, one double bed, a sofa-bed, small well equiped kitchen). This room hasn't A.C. The internet is ok. Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience in our first breakfast here.... More

The Italian guy Ricardo and the Cambodian girl Jan are very friendly and nice :) People were Ok there actually. Many interesting things can happen. Location are superB, it's clean, comfortable and cosy. If you travel alone like me, just go downstairs by the reception room and you will see there is a pool table, so you can pretend that... More

You pay for what you get cheap hostel in a good location with clean comfy beds , the staff where okay weren't overly friendly and there was some confusion of them trying to sell me a a padlock but that may have been more of a translation issue then anything, weren't events going on like some hostels which meant it... Please, at all costs, take your money somewhere else. Not sure why we weren't treated the same as other guests who left good reviews here but this is our experience. Don't know if it's because we are asian or if we just look like a damn joke to the workers. Firstly, THANK GOD we only stayed here for 2 nights... More

This is not the best hostel, we ended up leaving after one night. We stayed in what was called the k-studio which was a large dorm and was actually underground and was cold and felt like a basement with strange lighting. It had a cold atmosphere and not such good vibes. There was no kitchen facilities and not much of... More

Fantastic stay. Super clean, helpful and polite staff. Nice food. Perfect location too. In arrival we were early but could put our bags in a large locker for a €10 deposit. Comfortable beds with lovely clean sheets. Very clean bathroom and shower. We had a 3 bed private room. Perfect. The hostel was quiet at night unlike some.

Best Hostel I have stayed in, staff very friendly and the place was spotless. Great value for money, served food all day, free wifi, sports on tv. Wont definitely return to this hostel when in Berlin again.

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
