We stayed in a Compact' mini loft, which was as described. The apartment was light and airy. There is no air conditioning, which was fine for us as the weather was cooler, however with the windows open it is quite noisy from the street below and guests using the front door and local dogs owners utilising the small garden (late...

Our second stay, 8 years apart however. Would highly recommend as a alternative to a hotel, we had a six night stay in a 'classic' loft. Spacious, clean, quiet slightly funky and well appointed, very comfortable bed. Breakfast available at the Nordic hotel 20 metres away at a very reasonable price, close to all means of transport, the Berlin Hauptbahnhof...

We stayed in a "Classic" minloft and loved the building and the design. The apartment was stylish but also comfortable, and the apartment contained everything we needed. The design had been really well thought out, and there were a number of environmentally friendly features. The team at minloft were welcoming and helpful with all enquiries. The location was great for...

Some years ago I read about miniloft on an architectural blog. I took a note of this. This year, my wife and our three-your old had planned on visiting Berlin. Miniloft popped up in my head, and we quickly got a booking confirmed, for one of the extroverted apartments. The location is excellent, and within walking distance from our favourite...

A superb building with amazing Architectonic features located in Mitte not far from the main train station. Very comfortable apartment for a family of four. Walking distance to a subway station in a safe area of Berlin. Everything was perfect and the staff was very helpful, specially Estefania who help us to find an Eye specialist. Highly recommended. We stayed in Minilloft smallest apartment for almost a week. We suggest it to everyone who is looking for a place which delivers more to you than just an overnight stay. It is obvious that people who made the place love what they do, there is individual touch and thought to every little detail. We like to stay in places...

We stayed nearly a week. We had to move to a different room during out stay because of scheduling issues, but the miniloft staff did all the heavy lifting. The place is well designed, modern and very commodious. Would recommend highly for anyone. The miniloft "book" is an excellent resource for anything you may need. Recommendations were all well taken.

Family friendly apartment hotel in a good location in Mitte not far from Hauptbahnhof and other popular locations such as Tiergarten (a large park) and Mauer Gedänkstätte. Excellent modern design of the house is combined with good functionality and a choice of different apartment sizes.

Hi Björn, thanks for your review, it was nice to meet you! I just wanted to point out that we actually have water-based underfloor heating, run with eco-gas from Lichtblick. They use a percentage of biogas and offset the carbon produced. We are always looking for ways in which we can improve though, I'm glad that our guests are as...

My wife and I spent a week at Miniloft, traveling with one of our teenage sons. Booked Extrovert apartment - huge and perfect layout for family trip. Having kitchenette made it easy to prepare a few meals "at home" - which is how Miniloft made us feel - like we were at home! Big apartment -could easily have accommodated a...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
Mitte
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
