Centrally located, less than a 2 minute walk from Alexanderplatz Station and right under the distinctive landmark of the TV Tower. Extremely safe neighbourhood with lots of shopping and eating places nearby. Warmly welcomed by the Reception team - their enthusiasm for the city and helpfulness made for an extremely pleasant stay. Rooms were relatively small, although meticulously clean, comfortable...

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in December 2016, it was a great base to travel around Berlin. The staff were friendly, helpful and the hotel was clean, warm and good value for money. I would happily stay in this hotel again and recommend it for short stays in Berlin.

The hotel was super; fantastic central location, less than a minute from the airport shuttle bus stop. Very clean and modern. Really helpful and friendly staff. The room was small but well kept, comfortable and had everything we needed. The double power shower was amazing. The hotel bar was lovely with a good choice of drinks. We ate at 'The...

really good value, very clean, great breakfast, even better if the barman would serve rather than talk! Very handy for Tegal airport as bus leaves you 50m from the door. Just consistent good value and service

The hotel was lovely. The room was clean and modern. I chose this hotel mostly for the location. It is a 2 minute walk to Alexanderplatz which has all these shopping malls and places to eat. There are a handful of good restaurants next to the hotel itself. The Berliner Dom and the Museum Island are also a 15 minute...

I was in Berlin alone exploring the city and decided to stay here. Location is great, you can walk to lots of sights easily - Unter den Linden, Museum Island, Alexander Platz etc, and there is easy access to the public transport network also. Lots of nice little restaurants around also so hand for dinner. I found the breakfast buffet...

The place is located very close to Alexanderplatz station (in fact closer than to Hackescher Markt as the name would suggest). The hotel is modern and fresh. The rooms are rather small and offer no frills, but are clean and nice. My room was facing the backyard and so it was also very quiet. WIFI was fast and stable, both...

Motel One Hackescher Markt is located centrally nearby the Alexander Platz and nearby Bahnhof Alexanderplatz. The formula of Motel One is - in my opinion - relatively straight forward rooms, but well designed and very clean. Staff is very friendly. You have to pay on arrival, so check-out is very simple and therefore fast. There are very nice restaurants just...

Stayed for three nights during December for the Xmas markets. This hotel is situated very close to Alexanderplatz station maybe 5 minutes away so perfect, I think in all it took us 40 minutes from airport to hotel door. The check in was very quick and staff were excellent with advice and general queries. We asked for a room with...

Staying in Mitte

Neighbourhood Profile
The centre of Berlin, Mitte is most famous for sights like the Brandenburg Gate, Alexanderplatz, and Museum Island. The central location makes this one of the city's most expensive places to live. It is here the oldest traces of the city can be found, and evidence of some significant transformations, as well. The gangsters that once ruled the impoverished streets between Alexanderplatz and Hackescher Markt have given way to an international crowd pursuing fashionable designer clothes, the newest food trends and frequenting the many craft shops. Graphic designers have taken up residence in what used to be backyard barns and stables. There are still vestiges of the old days, however. The occasional housing complex is a reminder of the neighbourhood’s past. And if you look carefully, an old 1920s ball house nestled amongst the art galleries and exhibitions of Auguststrasse can still teach you how to dance the old fashioned way.
