A previous reviewer called this hotel "Fawlty Towers." This is unfair. The Pension Haubach hotel is nothing fancy, but is only 55 Euros in a good location along a quiet street. The Richard Wagner metro stop (U7) is a few minute's walk and there is a bus stop at the end of the street with buses to Tegel airport every...

I arrived 1 hour late, the time I said when I booked on booking.com, and they cancelled me the book. I paid 70€ 1 night. This is a pension not and hotel. Afterthat I check the room, no heater, windows opened, no one closed the windows. Outside it was cold and 11 degrees. I asked for fix the heater and...

I must admit to being really disappointed when we first arrived. The rooms are very basic and a little tired. But, we stayed for four nights and it was so quiet and comfortable that I was more than happy that we stayed there. The area is great with lots of lovely cafes and easily accessible using either the underground/overground trains...

Nice budget hotel walking distance from the Charlottenburg Palace (Schloss Charlottenburg). The entrance was hard to find, but the staff were friendly once I did. It’s a simple building with a simple, small room and bathroom, but it was suitable and comfortable. It has 3 keys, one for the room and two for separate entrance doors, so coming back to...

Honestly, this could be called a hostel more than a hotel, considering that we payed 134 euros for 2 nights in a triple room expains it all. Good location, close to metro station, breakfast for 6 euros, could not really complain that it was not luxurious, considering the cost.

The hotel, situated in the center west of Berlin, is good for a couple or family trip with small apartments with kitchen and bathroom inside. It's clean, but not completely because of the moquette. The kitchen is lack of furniture, only one pan. The staff is gentle, but the receptions doesn't speak English, only the barman. The only critics I...

Firstly, I nearly broke my neck on the unfinished steps INTO the hotel. This place is a complete KIP. The photos are not of the same place at all, and the couple of photos that ARE familiar, are complete set-ups. The building is still under construction, we walked into a concrete-dust filled reception, had to pay for a three day...

the location was fine, close to the subway line. the floor was dirty. the linen was clean. the breakfast was fine. WIFI was only working in the lobby. The receptionist could at least explain how to use the subway and the difference between S-bahn, U-bahn. not to just tell us 'the subway is there and you will find out everything...

Hotel Haubach is located in Charlottenburg in a somewhat convenient location. We chose that hotel because it stated that it has free Wi-Fi. I am a student and really needed the Internet to check on my online classes. Upon arrival, we found out that the Wi-Fi doesn't reach our room. The staff didn't speak English and just pointed to the...

The hotel is situated near the Charlottenburg palace (takes 10-15 minutes on foot), it's also near the city center (by metro+S-bahn takes about 15 minutes) The shops, cafes, bars and restaurants are also in neighbourhood. The room was clear and the towels were changed everyday. The lift is built near the main building. The staff is really nice and friendly....

Staying in Charlottenburg

Neighbourhood Profile
Charlottenburg
Breathe in Berlin’s royal past while walking through the gardens of beautiful Charlottenburg Palace, which lends its name to this well-heeled neighbourhood. Here you'll find some of the oldest homes in the city: upper-class apartment buildings with ornate facades and marble-floored foyers line the cobblestone streets. Stroll by sophisticated restaurants, through little parks, or around Lake Lietzensee. Window shop down Kurfürstendamm, the most renowned high-end shopping street in Berlin, where you can find all the big designer names. In the evening, visit one of the old theatres close by Zoo Station which were nightlife hot spots in the 1920s, or dine in one of the many international restaurants around Savignyplatz before heading to other parts of town for a night out.
