We traveled to Hamburg and stayed at the Alsterkrug for three days. Then we went on a cruise and were able to leave our car and luggage at the hotel. (Parking fees are much cheaper than in the parking garages at the harbor). After two weeks we stayed at the Alsterkrug for another four days. Booking and the support from reception (where necessary, check-in and check-out also possible online) were absolutely problem-free. Two vouchers for the taxi ride to the cruise terminal and back were also included. Nice rooms with large bathrooms, suitable for short city trips, etc. In the nice restaurant we had a well-stocked breakfast buffet and two very good dinners. The hotel is a bit far from the tourist center, but the bus and subway connections are very good. For example, you can get to the LandungsbrĂĽcken in 25 minutes. With the HamburgCard you can travel on the large public transport network for little money anyway. We would book the Alsterkrug again for a similar trip.

At Alsterkrug Hotel we liked it very much. The rooms are clean and have a sufficient size. The mattresses of the beds are also fine. Our room was street side, due to the heavy traffic noise the soundproof windows had to remain closed. Air conditioning is available. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and excellent. Since there is a bus stop in front of the hotel, the longer journey to the city center is easier. Hamburg is worth seeing - we will come back.

Since I was invited to a party in the immediate vicinity of the hotel, the BW Alsterkrug was my first choice. The room was very clean and there was a small personal (handwritten) greeting in the room, which I personally found very nice. The online check-in and check-out also made arriving and departing very easy and quick.

Alsterkrug Hotel is lovely, nice rooms, delicious breakfast. Parking costs 7 EUR per day, it's okay, but if you have an electric car then you have to park in the garage to charge, as there are no chargers outside, then it costs 17 EUR per day !.
The experience with the restaurant was a bit of a challenge, you would eat at the hotel were forced to sit out in their little garden, under high trees and umbrellas. These umbrellas stood so they didn't cover the tables. There were no blankets for the cool hours, the excuse was that they were for washing!
The first evening we ate out was in company with ants and spiders on the table, better entertainment could be desired. When the food was served there was a resident in the trees who had terribly thin stomach, so it just empty the belly bag that split out 5 cm. from my plate, no matter if I wanted a new portion of food, but we were moved to another table. It was under all criticism, the staff was completely just happy.

I pay 20 eur for breakfast but it’s was nothing to eat and the food they offer was

Most off the warm food was empty and they not filling up. There was like nothing to eat and they Wi-Fi is not working and you cannot do you work when I’m was in need for Wi-Fi.

Everything is first rate ,starting with the staff ,restaurant and room . Wish I could have stayed longer which I will do on my return . The rooms are quiet even on a busy street . Close to the airport ,easy taxi ride or bus across the street . They have an elevator . Love the idea of key card to turn on the lights ,you always know where the card is located . They have air conditioning.which is wonderful . Hope everyone visit is as wonderful as mine !

Super cozy hotel, with friendly and service minded staff. Delicious breakfast and cozy rooms. Easy to get around with public transport.

I gave the short trip to my son as a birthday present. We enjoyed it so much that we stayed another night. I would definitely recommend a canoe trip on the Alster in the hotel's own canoe; a really lovely experience. Also worth mentioning is the wonderful wellness area and the associated BRABAND bistro with a wonderful view of the Alster, good food and extremely friendly staff. All in all, a "feel-good stay" where you can achieve the relaxation potential of 2 weeks in 3 days.
