I stayed at this particular hotel after finding it on the internet. I wanted a quiet hotel not far from the University and in a nice location where I could go for a stroll if I wanted. The hotel was just right. My single bedroom was on the first floor at the front of the hotel facing the street, but...

Wonderful small hotel in the middle of Rothenbaum, very affordable, clean & quiet, walking distance to everything. Or one can take the bus - just steps away. Staff was very friendly and helpful, breakfast is small but only €5. I highly recommend this hotel while staying in Hamburg.

Extremely pleasant building, period interiors and neighbourhood. Rooms partly 70ies fiberboard soberness, not really what you see on booking.com pictures. You d expexct a certain class, culture or understanding of staff in this neighbourhood, unfortunately it is an in out handling mentality more like military administration.

If you book Heimhude with the idea that you're booking a larger B&B than a hotel, your expectations are more likely to be in touch with reality. For example, from 10pm onwards there isn't any staff present on the property. You also can't use the elevator. These aren't real issues if you're at a B&B, but they're not as acceptable...

The hotel is in a house which is terrific, and so are a number of buildings in the area. It is close to the Dammtor trainstation (10 minutes walk with luggage) and to Hamburg University. The staff is very nice, breakfast is ok (coffee is not as good as one might have hoped. One should be aware that the rooms...

The hotel is private owned and just some hundreds yards away from Dammtor Station. The rooms are clean & simple but adequate. The reception desks closes at 10 pm - so you have to check in before that time. The breakfast was okay, but nothing special.

The breakfast was satisfactory to the standard of the hotel, though it is not a perfect hotel breakfast buffet, Hotel is not in the city but it is possible to have a relaxing walt to...

This is the weirdest thing ever happened to me ! I checked on booking.com this hotel had available rooms. We were 5 people, so we needed a room for 3 and another room for 2. We arrived at the hotel reception and told the receptionist that I saw on booking.com they have rooms for 3 plus 2. She confirmed this...

I walked by this hotel during a conference and made a reservation for the following week. The price quoted, which I had in writing, was not the price I paid. Upon checking out, I was forced to pay an additional 10%. The owner/manager insisted his colleague had made "a mistake" despite the written confirmaton.

Hotel Heimhude is a small, apparently family driven hotel tucked away in a quiet street close to public transportation of various kinds. Ideal location for travelers who are visiting the University of Hamburg which is only a few minutes walk away. The single room I stayed in was clean, rather boring and had a bed a little bit too small...
