Looked for a smaller hotel in St. Pauli area found this for a good rate. Friendly staff helped with the booking. Avoid the first floor!! The hotel doors have gaps and since the tiled floor carry all the noice from the reception, it was like sleeping in the reception! Mattress was too short even though I am a short person....

Great hotel, full breakfast included, which i did not find in many other German hotels. Good location, for weekend travelers. the rooms we were given, were on the 4th floor. There is no elevator, which can be a problem for some, including elderly or parents with small children with strollers.

Dear guest, Thank you very much for your kind review. You are right, the way up can be difficult for some people. Therefore, it is always good to let us know in advance if you prefer a room on a lower floor. We would be happy to be your host again. Best regards from Hamburg Your Hotel Budapester Hof

A really good option for football trips or just wanting to be away from the Reeperbahn. Clean, tidy and comfortable. I got a single room with no issues. Close enough to the tourist route but far enough to be quiet and not in your face. It's Germany so expect a meat heavy breakfast, however I bought my own food and they let...

This hotel is located 1.9 kilometers from Hamburg centre, it's cheap and the rooms are fine. As is the service. Please note that from outside, first impression, it doesn't look very good, and parking your car nearby can be a problem, but if you plan to use your time exploring Hamburg, and just spend the night there, this is a...

Arrived late afternoon, welcomed at the reception with a smile. We had the same room as last year so we knew what to expect. Clean room and comfy beds, modern, clean and bright bathroom with the power shower. Again we went to the All nighter and danced the night away until the silly time in the morning of 6am. The...

I've a unique insight into the different sides of this hotel, owing to the fact that I went in a party and saw more than one room and the contrast was stark. My friends got a room that I can only describe as looking like it was a bedsit, and would not have looked out of place on a Channel...

As soon as we arrived we saw a huge stag due outside it. It was pretty obvious stags would be staying here. Our room was a family room. Had 2 double beds. The Room was huge. The bathroom looked brand new. It even featured a huge mirror with built in digitial clock and light - this was a surprise as...

The room was so dingy, there was hardly any daylight (one tiny window for a long room) and the view is a horrible back yard covered in pigeon droppings. It looks a bit like a scene from a horror film to be honest. The bathroom door was only a plastic fold-over door which doesn't exactly give you any privacy. The...

Dear guest, Thank you for your detailed comment. We are very sorry for the view out of the window. That yard is the ground of the neighbor where we are not able to change anything. Good news for us and our future guests in this two rooms facing that yard is, that the neighbor plans to renovate the backside of...

We stayed at the Budapester Hof Gästehaus in the residential area of a leafy suburb called Bahrenfeld. Only seven stops away from the main station, all the popular areas and the airport was connected by the same S-bahn line. The doorstep was practically just outside the station exit making it easier to get to than most places in the city...

good breakfast, good location, really close to subway station and to a quite big food-court commercial center, also easy to walk till St. Michael Church as one of the main attractions in Hamburg. Best option if you're going to Hamburg to attend a gig in Knust club. Wi-fi was not at its best though... :(
