The hotel is across the road from the side entrance of the railway station. It is very Art Deco and is quite intresting and if walls could talk!!!
The booking in process was seamless and the room was clean and the ensuite was well equipped. The bedroom had a free mini-bar and we were told to use it!!!!!
Breakfast was good and was served in a large room with staff continually topping up the serving dishes and ready to attend to any enquiry.
Reception staff equally helpful and will advise on restaurants, tourist hop on busses etc. A really good stay.

Just a one night stopover between Munich and Amsterdam.

Unfortunately it was a Saturday night and thumping music from a nightclub nearby shattered any peace.

However the staff at reception were friendly, the room most satisfactory and at least came with an efficient fan which was appreciated on a warm night when windows were closed against the nightclub noise.

The bathroom is small but equipped with l’Occitane shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser and hand soap and a fluffy white dressing gown. There are plenty of power points in the room and bathroom.

A small refrigerator in room has a complimentary bottle of juice, cola, water and a beer. Nice touch! And complimentary tea and coffee is available in the lounge downstairs.

Why did I choose it? Travelling with two suitcases and this Hotel is right outside the Frankfurt railway station. And value for money in an ever increasing cost of travelling to Europe from Australia.

Room Tip: Perhaps avoid Saturday night if wanting sleep. Otherwise ideal if travelling by train.

This is a 100 years old hotel; we choose this hotel because of the hotel interior has a very authentic look liken that you are in the 60’s feeling compared to modern building hotels. It looks old from the outside but it very cleans from the inside. All the rooms are big and renovated and very clean. There are fan and heater in the room. The hotel is located at the right side of Frankfurt HBF, very convenience for those travelling by train.
Hotel provide welcome drink with champaign on arrival and also free flow of coffee and tea, cake in the reception area until 6.00pm every day. In the room the provide pepsi cola, orange juice, water and other soft drink in their refrigerator free of charge. Breakfast is Euro15.00 with salmon fish. We have read some negative review on outside the hotel but so far it is safe as we go in and out of the hotel many times. When you travel don’t show off all your valuable in any European countries.
We stay at the room facing the back therefore it is very peaceful and quite at night.
The receptionists both men and women are very friendly, helpful and good. Should we go there again we will consider this hotel again.

The hotel staff is very friendly. When I arrived, I was a bit chocked by the small room and the two small beds. I asked for a bigger bed and got a bigger room. It was better than the other rooms. Probably this was the best room they had. The negative point was that outside the hotel they were constructing so I heard drilling during the day.

The rooms of the hotel are small and looks outdated. Antique furniture is ok if it fits with the room but the rooms are not cosey and looks outdated. It looks like '70s. Basic things are lacking in the room like a button to turn off the lights next to the bed. The water from the shower does not have a lot of power, the beds are low. For breakfast there ade no fried eggs (even if you ask for it) or sausages.

The hotel is nice but is not a four stars' hotel.

Although other reviews wrote that the minibar is full and is for free. The minibar on my room only contains two small bottles of water (which were for free). At the other hand I had a water cooler and coffee for free in my room but no coffee milk.

In the minibar is only two small bottles of water which are for free.

This hotel is nice but not a four stars' hotel. Because I received a bigger room which was nicer, I give three stars.

My husband and I spent our anniversary here and really regretted it. The pictures on Booking.com are really really misleading. The room was ok but the bathroom was full of mould and rust and the hotel did nothing after we complained.

The description on Booking.com deliberately misleading: the breakfast is wedged between "free wifi" and "free mini bar" so that it looks free but it's not. It's VERY expensive actually. Their website says the parking is free, yet we had to pay 20€ per day to park there. Lastly, their website clearly says that the tourism tax is "included" in the price but when we arrived, we had to pay it! What on earth is wrong with them.

They made me feel like an idiot when we asked them, so I didn't push too much. My daughter subsequently contacted them and they kept saying that none of this was their fault and they completely ignored the bathroom issues. They eventually admitted the info was misleading so they refunded us the 40€ we paid for the parking - and that was it. But still no apology and not refund of the tax or the nightly rate.

Disgusting service, would definitely not recommend.

We enjoyed our stay here. Beautiful marble floors. Very large room and large bathroom. Had an issue with the shower not draining but that was fixed. The hotel offers a terrific hot European buffet breakfast, as well as complimentary coffee, water and cakes in the afternoon. Drinks in the mini-bar are free as well. The location next to the train station and a few minutes walk from the river can't be beat. The room was quite warm, with no option for cooling other than opening the window (which we did when in the room but not when we left as there was a rooftop outside our window that made the room not secure). Sleeping at night was challenging as we prefer a cool room. The room was very quiet - have no idea where the night club was. We did have construction noise outside. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Hotel was OK but not 4 stars. Everything worked, breakfast was good as was the WiFi. No AC so rooms were very hot even with the windows open. Unfortunately the noise from the night club on the roof of the building next door was deafening even with the soundproofed windows. If you want a good night’s sleep don’t stay here.

It took me awhile to settle on the Monopol for my overnight in Frankfurt; because of other reviews regarding the area. The Monopol was a reasonable choice. Travelling solo, the single room was on the small side but I had plenty of room for my luggage and was able to have enough floor space to do some yoga. The room and linens were clean. I particularly enjoyed the free mini bar with a couple of bottles of water for me to drink. The hotel also has refreshments for guests from 11 to 6. It was great again to be able to fill my water bottle and not have to buy overpriced water at restaurants or the train station.
Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. I found the staff friendly and helpful. The only complainant I have was the bed mattress was pretty rock solid and could have been more cushy. The hotel is not far from the river embankment with a strolling path to the old town. I did not find the area to be overly worrisome. Yes there is some riff raft but at no time did I feel unsafe strolling g in the neighbourhood. I would chose this hotel again but I would ask for a softer bed.

We stayed for 3 nights as close to airport only 4 train stops away and we needed to be at main station to catch train to Amsterdam. The hotel is directly across road from station. It offers a free daily mini bar which was great and free coffee and cake downstairs all day. The breakfast buffet was large and tasty. The room was good but no way to control temperature so i was either hot or cold. The pillows were so lumpy and uncomfortable. But for location this place was perfect and we walked all around the city.

If they have a room available then u can get it early too. Normally staff is cooperative. While you may send an email in advance but it may noy be effective as the staff wouldnt know when the earlier guest is leaving or there could be late bookings. Tips: 1. You goto the reception upon arrival and check if room is available and can be checked in. 2. You can keep your luggage in the reception and wait in the lobby as it is big enough and have paid breakfast until some guest checks out. All the best.

goodmorning the central station is at a distance of 200 m, no worries. I think there might be a pool at the ground floor. However, I am not sure. In any case, you can contact with the Hotel and place your demands to them directly.
