The booking in process was seamless and the room was clean and the ensuite was well equipped. The bedroom had a free mini-bar and we were told to use it!!!!!
Breakfast was good and was served in a large room with staff continually topping up the serving dishes and ready to attend to any enquiry.
Reception staff equally helpful and will advise on restaurants, tourist hop on busses etc. A really good stay.
Unfortunately it was a Saturday night and thumping music from a nightclub nearby shattered any peace.
However the staff at reception were friendly, the room most satisfactory and at least came with an efficient fan which was appreciated on a warm night when windows were closed against the nightclub noise.
The bathroom is small but equipped with l’Occitane shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, moisturiser and hand soap and a fluffy white dressing gown. There are plenty of power points in the room and bathroom.
A small refrigerator in room has a complimentary bottle of juice, cola, water and a beer. Nice touch! And complimentary tea and coffee is available in the lounge downstairs.
Why did I choose it? Travelling with two suitcases and this Hotel is right outside the Frankfurt railway station. And value for money in an ever increasing cost of travelling to Europe from Australia.
Hotel provide welcome drink with champaign on arrival and also free flow of coffee and tea, cake in the reception area until 6.00pm every day. In the room the provide pepsi cola, orange juice, water and other soft drink in their refrigerator free of charge. Breakfast is Euro15.00 with salmon fish. We have read some negative review on outside the hotel but so far it is safe as we go in and out of the hotel many times. When you travel don’t show off all your valuable in any European countries.
We stay at the room facing the back therefore it is very peaceful and quite at night.
The receptionists both men and women are very friendly, helpful and good. Should we go there again we will consider this hotel again.
The rooms of the hotel are small and looks outdated. Antique furniture is ok if it fits with the room but the rooms are not cosey and looks outdated. It looks like '70s. Basic things are lacking in the room like a button to turn off the lights next to the bed. The water from the shower does not have a lot of power, the beds are low. For breakfast there ade no fried eggs (even if you ask for it) or sausages.
The hotel is nice but is not a four stars' hotel.
Although other reviews wrote that the minibar is full and is for free. The minibar on my room only contains two small bottles of water (which were for free). At the other hand I had a water cooler and coffee for free in my room but no coffee milk.
In the minibar is only two small bottles of water which are for free.
This hotel is nice but not a four stars' hotel. Because I received a bigger room which was nicer, I give three stars.
The description on Booking.com deliberately misleading: the breakfast is wedged between "free wifi" and "free mini bar" so that it looks free but it's not. It's VERY expensive actually. Their website says the parking is free, yet we had to pay 20€ per day to park there. Lastly, their website clearly says that the tourism tax is "included" in the price but when we arrived, we had to pay it! What on earth is wrong with them.
They made me feel like an idiot when we asked them, so I didn't push too much. My daughter subsequently contacted them and they kept saying that none of this was their fault and they completely ignored the bathroom issues. They eventually admitted the info was misleading so they refunded us the 40€ we paid for the parking - and that was it. But still no apology and not refund of the tax or the nightly rate.
Disgusting service, would definitely not recommend.
Breakfast was great with plenty of choice. I found the staff friendly and helpful. The only complainant I have was the bed mattress was pretty rock solid and could have been more cushy. The hotel is not far from the river embankment with a strolling path to the old town. I did not find the area to be overly worrisome. Yes there is some riff raft but at no time did I feel unsafe strolling g in the neighbourhood. I would chose this hotel again but I would ask for a softer bed.
