The train station is about twenty minutes away if you walk, or about five minutes by bus - there is a bus stop just around the corner from the hotel, about two minutes walk away. I think the hotel charged about 25 Euros per night for parking. We found public transport quite cheap and very frequent and reliable. Buy railway tickets when you get there from the machines at the station or on-line from the German language Deutsche Bahn Website. We found that tickets for a train to Heidelberg cost 20 Euros more if you bought it through the English language section of the website. Also, check your change on the buses - I was short changed twice but got what I was owed immediately when I challenged the bus drivers.
