Despite only being two minutes walk from the bustling old town, this hotel is quiet and yet in very close proximity to all the action. The rooms were spotless and there decor modern and clean, with a suggestion that they may have recently been renovated. The staff were very friendly and helpful, with breakfast both efficient and appetising including great...

Although this hotel is very central the lack of air conditioning or fans for the room made the stay unbearable. After contacting reception to get a fan, they suggested we open the window but as we were on the river and road side this was impossible because of the constant noise. I asked for a fan at least and was...

Great place to stay. The staff is really warm and with an average command of english which was very helpful. I loved the breakfast really much. And the rooms are very comfortable. Big ups to the senior lady that served me hot milk daily which much of home culture than a European thing. I would choose this hotel again anytime...

Visited the Cologne Christmas Markets the week before Xmas 2015. We drove from Calais, took us just under 4 hours. We arrived Sunday afternoon and were very lucky to park outside the rear of the hotel to unload. The reception staff were very helpful and told us that it was free parking on Sunday and we could leave our car...

Hotel Allegro has very friendly and helpful staff (especially the younger staff.) It is in a convenient location, we came to see the Christmas markets and you can walk to the most of them within 5/10 minutes. The cathedral, main shopping street, "love lock" bridge and the chocolate museum are also a 5/10 minute walk. The hotel Has a lovely...

I came in Köln for the Christmas markets .. Travelling alone you need something cosy and near the attraction you want to see, and I was not disappointed in this lovely hotel! The hotel is right in front of the river (unfortunately I had the back view of a park lot/offices, but it's ok I guess the bigger rooms get...

Stayed here last weekend, to visit Xmas markets. The hotel was very central, our room on the 1st floor looked on to the Rhine, was clean, warm and very comfortable. The breakfast each morning was good, fruit, warm and cold foods, and a selection of breads. We were very close to everything, walked everywhere. The staff were very helpful, recommending...

Clean spacious rooms that are very quiet even on street side, cheap delicious breakfast, decent priced parking, very close to old town (and when in season Christmas markets), a warm welcome and helpful staff. What more can you ask for! We enjoyed our stay! Small remark - brewery/restaurant also seems to have some sort of a connection to hotel but...

Impeccably clean rooms, cheap yet delicious breakfast, 2 minutes walk to the center of the old town, everything is walking distance actually, male front desk night clerk much more accommodating than the female daytime desk clerk.

“Rooms looking towards river are noisy. Try getting the room on the other side (looking towards parking). If possible try getting room on 1st or 2nd floor since I think windows are larger in these rooms.”
