I would thoroughly recommend this Hotel - is well located being in Central Dortmund. We went to visit the Art and Culture Museum and to see the Christmas lights./Markets. The staff were exceptionally helpful. The room was spotless as was the magnificent reception entrance that was very grand. We didn't try the Restaurant as we preferred to eat out. Our room was fantastic as was a penthouse - top floor with a balcony. You could hear traffic but can't have everything being city centre. Can walk directy into the Centre in minutes and also to the rail/bus networks as well as to the Airport shuttle which is very convenient.
when you walk into this hotel your think wow, let me tell you that impression doesnt last as the place is disapointing, terrible breakfast and not even any toiletries in the room , its an expensive hotel 300 a night and for the money it really isnt worth it, hoever the staff were nice in the bar and at reception, also the location is handy for the train station
The hotel is well situated and the evening receptionist was very nice, however the morning receptionist looked ticked off, in a bad mood and not a smile! A real minus is that there was no AC and we couldn't open the windows because of the noise. Even with the windows closed we could hear everything going on in the street (people talking, police cars, motor bikes and just cars)
Very good location, close puiblic transport, 15 min by public transport from westfalenhallen. Good bathrrom, pure and. expensive breakfast ( for the price 12EUR i was disapointed to have no Fried egs. For this price i expected higher choice on bufet. My recommandation is not to have breakfast in hotel.
stayed here with two friends sharing a room for three therefore the prize was ok. room was clean but cups and towels only for two in a three room apartment. breakfast was ok however i missed during check in that i have to pay for it. i would come back with friends for some events, yes, but not with my wife as the rooms are not cozy. note: 25 min easy walk to westfalen-hallen
December, 31st. very bad staff impression on the reception. I was offended by a trifle. and it's in the new year! incompetent staff. spoiled the impression of the city. only the girl on the day was good that day! I will not return to this hotel!
Trip advisor would not allow me to give an accurate account of my stay. The decor reminds one of a mob hotel in Las Vegas. Food Ok. It was spotlessly clean. but it was an altogether strange place with dodgy undertones
Never accept room 535 ! Pictures got with the booking confirmation are not real at least for this room . Used and uncertain color for the towels ,ugly bathroom , no plugs on near bed only if you dont need the light , no frizer , no plug on near the the table where you can make a coffee . So called window , is a smal window placed in a corner , close to the ceiling ; dont oppen !!! You will see a stone wall and a interior service place full of dirty . I dint ask for changing the room because I stayed only one night but I made the sugestion at the check out this room never be offered to the toutist but changed it into a service room .The room if faaar away to 4 stars standard !
The hotel is nice and very well positioned on the edge of the city centre and ideal for shopping. Great pub next door. But... in our room the curtain didn’t fit the window.. I just don’t understand how or why anyone would fit a curtain and think ‘that’ll do!!’ After speaking with the manager on duty he said all rooms are like that.. what a joke, our friends room had fitted curtains! Nothing was done to rectify the situation.
The only thing that's 4 stars in this hotel is the girl working on the front. The WiFi doesn't work which is imperative for me and the primary reason I booked here. I can't find the restaurant, although I honestly don't want to eat here.
