Lovely hotel. Warm and comfortable, excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are spotlessly clean and serviced every day, staff work so hard and are all very friendly. Would definitely stay here again, it has everything you need for a nice stay.
Hotel fairly dated, but clean throughout. Room basic with only real amenity being the (tiny) TV. No tea or coffee making facilities nor iron. I feel the price is fairly steep for what you get, but it did the job for a couple of nights in Dortmund. Supermarket next door very handy too.
I really recommend this place for a night or weekend stay. It is located close to the city centre - 10 minutes by slow stroll. Place is comfy and clean, staff helpful. On top of that there is underground parking lot- within price. 👍👍
Good enough to sleep a few nights. Clean and tidy. Enough power outlets for loading gadgets. Breakfast included the ubiquitous uneatable scrambled eggs and hard-fried bacon for another 11 €. Room rate > 100 € is too much for this hotel.
I’ve stayed here several times, and it’s beginning to feel very worn. The rooms need a very good clean or refurbishment as they smell old. Breakfast is decent, and most of the staff are friendly and helpful.
The hotel is only 2 stars but it deserves many more. We visited Dortmund and stayed at the Ibis City hotel. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. Mine is a disabled room and extremely roomy. Using a wheelchair in hotel rooms is usually a nightmare but this was perfection. I had so much space to manouevre around in without any difficulty whatsoever. The lift too is romy enough for 2 wheelchairs and standing room too. Continental breakfast is available and the staff are all absolutely lovely. Extremely helpful and obliging. The only downside is they don't do evening meals but do provide simple toasted sandwiches and other snacks. After a long day around the city, a toasted sandwich is perfect. They still deserve more stars!
I was impressed by the professionalism and Friendliness of all the staff that I met during my stay. The location of the hotel was well connected to all aspects of the Dortmund transport system. From a communications point of view, the internet connection was very good and allowed for uninterrupted video calls. Finally, I would recommend the breakfast as tasty, a great selection and lots to choose from.
Stayed at Ibis Dortmund City for one night between Christmas and New Year, as a stopover on our way to visit friends in Hanover. Nice comfortable hotel, with friendly staff, powerful shower, and free parking. Great for walking to city centre, which is just a 10-15 minute stroll. Just wish these European chain hotels would provide tea and coffee making facilities, as they do in the UK, as after travelling for many hours, would be nice to have a kettle in the room for a cuppa
This Ibis gets better. Very clean, very welcoming. Our problem was quickly and professionally resolved by the person at reception, Fabio (?) and the bar service from Yvanta (?) was very excellent, she should be promoted for her excellence in service and professionalism. Food basic but excellent.
This hotel was continent for my visit to an exhibition, clean and what you expect from IBIS no restaurant but one within 5 mins walk. Supermarket next door so good for drinks etc. I would stay again when in Dortmund.
