Good enough to sleep a few nights. Clean and tidy. Enough power outlets for loading gadgets. Breakfast included the ubiquitous uneatable scrambled eggs and hard-fried bacon for another 11 €. Room rate > 100 € is too much for this hotel.

Stayed one night in February. This is a budget hotel, and I am rating this as a budget hotel.
The property is basic, clean, no thrills. The room was adequate, the bathroom was a bit tight, felt like in a space capsule. Sleep was comfortable. Had a desk to do my remote work. Walking distance to the U-Bahn station. There is a supermarket around the corner. Reception staff was helpful - helped me out with the parking and were reasonable with my request for late (30 min) check out time. Had a (frozen) pizza warmed up for my dinner for 8 euros. That was not bad. Overall, an excellent place for those on a budget.

I really recommend this place for a night or weekend stay. It is located close to the city centre - 10 minutes by slow stroll. Place is comfy and clean, staff helpful.
On top of that there is underground parking lot- within price. 👍👍

Hotel fairly dated, but clean throughout. Room basic with only real amenity being the (tiny) TV. No tea or coffee making facilities nor iron. I feel the price is fairly steep for what you get, but it did the job for a couple of nights in Dortmund. Supermarket next door very handy too.

Lovely hotel. Warm and comfortable, excellent breakfast buffet. Rooms are spotlessly clean and serviced every day, staff work so hard and are all very friendly. Would definitely stay here again, it has everything you need for a nice stay.

The hotel is very clean, confortable, and cheap.
The furniture is new and well assembled;
The wc is small but really nice! Like the one of a yacht!
Better than many 3 stars!!
Quality/cost ratio: wonderful.

The center of the town is 15 minutes far walking.
This hotel was a pleasant surprise!!!

We stayed at the Ibis for a weekend in May 2005, the room was larger than we expected and great value for money (£39 per night). The location is fine about a 10 minute walk from the town. There is a supermarket right next door to the hotel and a really nice pub (with a great beer garden overlooking a park) 200 metres down the road (towards the town). We would definitely stay here again. One of the better Ibis hotels i've stayed at.

I stayed at the Ibis Dortmund City for a night. My interaction with their staff was brief and painless. I've seen quite a few Ibis hotels around Europe, and this one is definitely one of the more basic ones: my room had absolutely no thrills, not even the USB charger sockets frequently seen in other Ibis locations. The WiFi was unusable, with constant connection drops that saw me revert to mobile tethering for convenience. Nevertheless, if you only need a place to sleep, this Ibis fits the bills.

We had a long weekend here for the football and have a great time at the hotel.Only 15 minutes walk from the city center makes it an ideal place to stay. We were 7 euros in a taxi from the train station and the same going to Westfalenstadion for the football. The staff were great with nothing to much trouble for them and everything with a smile.
The rooms are basic but clean with a "pod" style bathroom. The beds are comfy and although one floor up and next to the main road i very rarely heard the traffic.
And now for my pet hate!!!...only two power sockets in the room, one under the tv uniy that was in use by the tv and one strangely about 3 feet up the wall at the bathroom. Trying to charge my phone and tablet was a bit of a nightmare having prop my bag against the wall to rest them on. what have hotels got against power points at the bedside units??
Overall a very good base in Dortmund

Stayed for one night. The hotel is South of city centre. 4 stops on underground. It is only 2 stops to the Westfalen Stadion. The room we had was obviously a smoking room so smelled a bit stale. Breakfast was excellent, tea, coffee, juices, cereals, pastries, fruit, meats, cheeses & eggs.
There is a steakhouse restaurant called Stadewaldchen about 5 minutes walk away. Excellent meals.
