Stayed here for three nights to visit Dortmund for the first time. Hotel has a great location in the middle of the city, close to the train station, and underground parking is a big plus. Had a nice street view from my room on the 5th floor. Rooms are nice and spacious. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great, but maybe a bit too expensive. Would definitely come back here on my next trip to Dortmund.
Great location for a short trip. Many shops and restaurants are nearby. Recommendation: visit the german football museum and of course the stadium and museum of Borussia Dortmund. We will come back soon.
Altought i had some issiues with conditioner, the staff made the difference. The staff checked another room and with all attention helped me to move. that is waht makes the difference. ptroblems may occor its how they are solved.
It’s really a shame… this hotel is mostly totally fine, and I love that it was so convenient to the train station. But the beds are AWFUL. I mean *bad*. It’s like sleeping on top of a table… so hard, I’d wake up with numb fingers, hands, and feet. The pillows filled with crumbly material deflate immediately as well, making it just impossible to get a good night of sleep. It’s a shame, really!
Friendly staff, nice spacious rooms with separate living area and this all within walking distance from the city centre and the Dortmund Central Station. So an excellent mix to start exploring Dortmund. And in the morning a good German breakfast buffet to get you going.
Note the nicest building but perfectly located, steps from the railway station and the city center. We had a nice room at the last floor, surprisingly large and well equipped. Very quiet. Public parking below the hotel, available at a low price. Front desk efficient. This is a good choice in Dortmund and, providing there is some kind of offer, and there are often, it can be booked for a very good price.
Room was not like described, no tea/coffee facilities, climate not working so rooms were very hot, no hand-soap, no towels, bedsheets etc for 2persons. They ignore complaints, don't respond to e-mails. Worst hotel i ever had.
Despite some minor issues, we enjoyed our short stay at NH Dortmund. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. We paid extra to have a coffee machine and a kettle in the room. The staff were friendly but not efficient. The location is great, few minutes walk to city center. Breakfast was good but not cheap by any means. The breakfast staff were very kind and responsive.
- Taking your payment 2 times from your creditcard. - Cleaning lady comes into your room without any knocking even when there is a “do not disturb” sign on your door. - No information about the city or the hotel itself. - had to change rooms 3 times because they don’t have the right information on their website. - They barely speak English - They clean your room only once in a few days (I stayed for 9 nights, only 3 days they cleaned the room, asked to get it done every day) In my opinion it is the worst hotel ever and definitely not worth the 4 stars.
We stayed for four nights, two adults and one child (aged 10), as part of our summer holiday 2020. We had booked a family room on the 6th floor, which was quite spacious and with a separating door between the living room (where our son stayed and had a sofa bed) and the adult bedroom. There was also a large bathroom with two doors, one entering from the living room (which locked) and the other entering from the bedroom (which didn’t). Both rooms had televisions, but we didn’t use them. The bed was quite comfortable, and the room had efficient air-conditioning which you could adjust yourself. The staff was very accomodating throughout our stay, especially at breakfast, where special Corona measures were in place. The buffet was smaller than usual, with bread pre-packed in bags and cold cuts on portion-sized plates with plastic film over it. We could order hot food (eggs and bacon) from the staff, which we received in 5 minutes or so, and it was quite good. Location was excellent, just a 3-minute walk from the central station and 10 minutes from the shopping, restaurant and entertainment districts. …
