I stayed in the hotel for one night on my way to Poland, the hotel was clean and basic and provided everything I and my family needed apart from the fact that there was only to sets of bedding for the three of us, other then that everything was fine and the breakfast was good standard as well. Beware you will be charge city taxes and this is separate to the price. Recommend for short stay.

I stayed here for a football match in Dortmund. The room is what you would expect of a one star, basic but comfortable. Good shower and bed. Parking and wifi available free also which is good.

Location is average. Right next to the autobahn (not that noise was a problem) and a fair walk to the station in order to get to Dortmund central.

The hotel is not too far from the motorway and fairly easy to find. It offers ample car park. There is no one at the reception after 10pm but a check-in terminal is provided. Rooms are clean and while very basic, they offer everything one needs in a cheap transit hotel.

There was just one problem - we booked two rooms, one of them for an adult and 2 children. Yet we got only 2 sets of blanket and pillow in both rooms. So 2 blankets for 3 people and no one at the reception to request another blanket => not great. I'd recommend a spare blanket should be available on the bunk bed.

Hotel was spotless and very quiet as it was on outskirts of the city towards west side. Very comfortable room with nice relaxing bed/pillows
Breakfast was good and there was parking available for guests

The location is fine once you get to know your way around, though not much to do in the immediate surroundings. The staff were OK, not the best. The room was awful, dingy, smelt of smoke and needed a lick of paint!

Like other travellers who posted reviews, i used this as a place to stop over on a long journey. Compared with other Etap Hotels I've stayed in, this place is definitely on the nasty side of grotty. My room was damp, grubby and smelt musty. The carpet was liberally decorated with stains and cigarette burns, various dead and live insects were dotted over the walls and the beds (simple mattresses mounted on wooden boards) completed the overall impression that I was staying in a recently converted juvenile detention centre. Oh, and someone had punched in the front panel of the toilet door. Only the prisoners' graffiti were missing. I also agree with the previous reviewer who complained about the smell of cigarette smoke wafting through a supposedly non-smoking hotel. In truth, this isn't the nicest part of Germany, but I didn't find anywhere to eat in the adjacent 'village' apart from the local pizza take-out - which was, however, surprisingly OK for the price. I found only one English language TV station on offer; CNBC. Hourly updates on bond market leveraging wasn't quite what I had in kind after driving all day. I can't imagine it was any more educational for the inmates who came before me. For 41 e you can't expect much, but this place is definitely over-priced and unpleasant. With Etap being rebranded as 'Ibis Budget', places like this are likely to contaminate the reputation of a very comfortable hotel chain. The management should rethink. Or preferably return such places to the criminal justice system where they belong. I hope someone is listening.

Great little, cheap hotel. Nice room size and good shower. Very close to the autobahn but due to quality double glazing didn't hear a thing. I thought the continental breakfast was excellent value and quality.

I arrived there by night. I was informed that although the reservation ( wrote that I will come late), Ibis budget regulation is that after 18:00 they are not forced to reserve the reservation. Be aware!
Rooms are simple and copy/paste to all Ibis budget. It was clean.
I had to go up 2 floors with all my baggages, as there is no elevator.
All together: cheap.

This accommodation is exactly as described - a cheap, no-frills hotel room with the basic facilities, located in an outer suburb of Dortmund.
Our room was clean, and spacious enough, and there are reasonably frequent transport links to either Bochum or Dortmund Hauptbahnhof/City Centres.

Hi, Is that hotel pet friendly?
Answer from Peeter A
Tartu, Estonia24 contributions23 helpful votes
What you mean, dog friendly? I believe it is. Rooms are of course not big. If you have two people and middle growth dog you can stay there. My daughter was in Ibis Budget hotels with here dogs. There is possible walk with dogs outside hotel.
