InterCIty Hotels are always handy to the railway stations, as is this one just behind the main railway station (Hauptbahnhof) in Mainz. Reception and restaurant staff are very courteous, speaking fluently in either German or English. We paid extra for the buffet breakfast, which offers a great selection of hot items, with a variety of fresh breads and pastries, fruit,...

This hotel was solidly ok. Clean room, convenient location, helpful staff. The wifi is insanely slow and it's not easy to figure out how to upgrade. Seriously it is slower here in a hotel in Germany than the wifi I have at home in Maputo. The beds are also just okay; by the end of one night I was frankly...

This place is centrally located and clean but gets major points off for the weak WIFI that is included with the room. You have to pay if you want faster speeds. This is probably good for a business trip since you can expense those things. I think that for the cost of the room you should at least get workable...

Comfortable bed, very clean, fast & friendly customer service. Nice breakfast buffet. Only thing that didn't impress me is it took forever for staff to take away dirty dishes left after room service, they were left in hallway for 24 hours & not removed when room was cleaned. Oh & no irons in room or available from front desk. They...

Stayed here for business meetings for two nights & Three days, arrived Wednesday early evening and was checked in very efficiently, staff were all cheerful & very helpful. The hotel itself was immaculately clean & the rooms were spotless, shower/bathroom was awesome. Only slight disappointment was the air conditioning in the conference room was either not working correctly or perhaps...

Nice modern hotel within walking distance to the mainz cathedral, the theater and lots of shopping. The breakfast was good but after a week of the same items on the buffet I was ready to move on. The rooms were clean upon arrival but the cleaning staff did not clean very good while we were staying in the room. The...

A little out of town for the Christmas Market. While it has a bar at the entrance there is nowhere to sit and it was only 5 stools in front of a TV which was just playing sport. Parking is next to the hotel but you have to pay which is another 15 euros plus for 1 night. Noise from...

This is an excellent choice for those who wish to stay in town, near the railway station. Connections are good, but for tourists the main sites are at a modest distance. The price is right, the amenities are fine and work well. Breakfast is all right. Dinner in the restaurant limited, but of decent quality.

We stayed for 4 nights in December 15 whilst visiting Christmas markets along the Rhine. Opposite the main railway station and with bus/tram stops outside, we found this hotel to be ideally situated for all our needs. It was a real bonus to have free travel tickets for Mainz and Wiesbaden included. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and...

The InterCityHotel Mainz is located at the rear of Mainz main station and only a few minutes on foot away from the city centre. The location provides ideal connections not only to the city centre but also to the nearby cities of Wiesbaden and Frankfurt via the A60 motorway and train connections from the doorstep of the hotel. For the guest with time for a walk around the city we recommend a visit to the 1,000 year-old cathedral, the numerous museums or the Chagall windows. Ideal support for this is the FreeCityTicket for free use of the local public transport in Mainz and Wiesbaden, already included in the room price. The InterCityHotel Mainz offers 194 stylish and comfortably furnished rooms and apartments. The 8 meeting and conference rooms are equipped with state-of-the-art technology and round off the offer of the conference hotel in Mainz.
